I've just realized, I really like Plutonia (even though I've never played it... or maybe because :D). No fancy textures, no unique enemies, just genius monster placements and map layouts. And you were right, this music is a real banger.

Plutonia actually does have new textures that weren't in DOOM 2. Like those vines, green walls, brown stone floors, etc.

Interestingly this level like Aztec has a multiplayer Cyberdemon. In the TPE level it was on the invisible bridge. Would be interesting to know where it is in this level

Thanks for the upload. Wow. I almost forgot that you only started doing blind runs after your playthrough on Eviternity. So, these, uh...prepared playthroughs are nice to see again. I think this could be a norm for this channel. For every 3 new wads that you play, play 2 blind, and one post practice runs. (Flexible, of course)

Your videos inspired me to play Doom 2 again, but this time pistol starting each level, no saves during the level, and going for UV Max. Holy crap, I had no idea how much harder pistol starting made the game! I think Suburbs took me over 30 attempts until I figured out all the necessary moves and strategies. Whole new enjoyment of the game.

In fairness, fighting a Baron with the super shotgun is preferable to fighting a Baron with the NON-super shotgun. (And this is why I want to mod the SSG into Doom 1...) Edit: Heck yeah, Turbo Spectres!

Great as usual ;) I just wanted to share it here since I'm not actually a youtuber to record videos, but i'm attempting a no-player-damage (when i receive the damage I restart the level, pistol start) ultra-violence doom run (both Ultimate and Hell on Earth). I might record it as some point, maybe when I do the run for the second time. Right now I'm just trying it out and only got to level 7 in 2 days lmao. If I'm skillful enough one day, I will attempt an ultra-ultra-violence run (if i receive damage, i restart the whole game) one day.

Claustrophobic designs mixed with a good dose of verticality really make Doom's combat shine like nothing else, add a lot to the tactical depth. 10:36 nice dodge! Maybe it only seemed impressive to me since I watched the video at low volume and couldn't hear the rocket beforehand. Am I rambling? I guess I am.

Now, this map is Evil, low ammo from start to end, small cramped areas full of monsters, the beginning area is total chaos, i lost count how many times i died to blind run this one with a pistol start, but i finally did it. there is a soul sphere in a window by the left of where you start that i didn't managed to grab. edit: also by the end i noticed i had some cells, but the map doesn't have any plasma rifle? edit 2: oh so i'm not blind and the soul sphere cannot be obtained, good to know, also you have the same cells.
