Rangers biggest problem is not how the club is managed now, it's how the club was managed prior to the liquidation. The way the game is structured now, with European money, a club with Celtic's financial advantage is only going to widen the gap. Like it or not Scottish football now comprises a moderately big club, a medium sized club and minnows. Criticising the manager/board etc is just a form of denial that the club is not financially equipped to compete with Celtic and that isn't likely to change.

A CVA is a device used in company law. The Company was liquidated, not the club. Insolvent companies die, not clubs, if they still have fans, supporters, traditions, trophies won in the past, and so on. A Club is a social structure, a company is a financial and legal one.

As a manager due to circumstances had to use dessers and dessers only up front..they have improved with options up front,injuries ,and lack of options at back an ongoing issue.If he manages to get a couple of defenders ,and maybe 1 in midfield,i personally think we will see a different animal.I feel under circumstances he has coped with ,he has done as well as anyone could.He deserves more time.

This is a long term effort. Trying to hing on to celtic while coach lesser young players to sell on but stay competitive. Big Phil has a vision. Gerrard got 3 years he needs at least the same. Peter, why don’t you offer some balance to the rangers argument? (which is something my fellow rangers supporters need to do aswell) Here’s contextual view on it for you: - Rangers ended the second half of last season from Dec- May going into most games with 6/7/8/9/10, and at one point 13 first team players injured. We had 1 striker to play every min of every game (Danilo’s back 2 months played Celtic twice and scored twice, Rangers missed that for a year). Maybe thats a valid reason why we lost the league, instead of the “bottled it” myth that’s portrayed. And so a reason why clement went 6 games without beating rodgers. Look at the difference in jan when he actually had attacking options - totally battered them. Going back to last season, Would Celtic have won the league with that many out at the same time between Dec-May? Doubt it. - this season at the start of the season rangers had limited options in the forward areas for injuries and different reasons, and still only one striker; so struggled to score - while hardly conceding (middle of sept into Oct they conceded 1 domestic goal). They get their attacking options back and score for fun, but loose basically a full backline and their back ups and a keeper from Xmas onwards so conceed a lot more. Is that maybe not a valid reason why away form has been so poor? (albielt yes in some games Clements starting team has let him down e.g. st mirren away, Dundee United home and Dundee away). - look at the season overall - they are basically even head to head with Celtic on games played against each other, lost the league cup on pens in an even game after a dodgy ref decision, sitting pretty in Europe and near perfect home record. - this season Rangers board have brought in a new CEO, chairman, revamped their transfer strategy, reduced their wage bill and now have major assets to sell - Jeffte, Igmane, Raskin the main ones. They changes aren’t gonna be seen until the medium/long term. Considering all that in context …. Is that not fair? Never heard anyone on your programme offer a fair and balanced opinion on rangers considering context. Always the usual hysteria. You won’t respond to me, or get anyone in your programme to peddle that viewpoint …. Because it doesn’t suit the agenda 😂

The SFA's sanctions on Rangers were designed to destroy them. What is happening now is to a large extent the aftermath of what the SFA's members did to the Rangers club - put it down the divisions to prevent its future financial strength from growing. Unfortunately, it still has and it is performing on the pitch, hsving recently gubbed Celtic, narrowly missed a trophy earlier partly because of a dodgy penalty call and are doing well in Europe.. Rangers have a bit to go, but don't let soccer controversialists such as are on this website talk Rangers down, turning every drama to a crisis to lower the confidence of fans and management.

They put them down the divisions because it was a new club, Rangers football club ceased to exist and The Rangers football club was born, all other new teams have to start in the regional leagues so they got off lightly. It's wasn't a big conspiracy they broke the law, went into administration and were liquidated.

There is no law against it, just a procedure to deal with it, in Companies Legislation. Being made a scapegoat for the thousands of EBT practitioners all over the uk wh had been advised it was legal, is what happened to Rangers. The Revenue di nothing for years and then hammered Rangers Ltd., getting not a penny as it eventually drove the compny out of business. Murray offered a large buyout sum for EBT, which was refused. Yet the Revenue offered an amnesty for EBT practitioners later, reducing sums owed substantially. Political hatchet job.
