I always had a soft spot for Tommy. Great guy and a pretty decent player too. He mentioned that game against Ross County when he scored a hat-trick. That wasn't actually a competitive fixture. It was a game that was specially arranged to give Darren Jackson his first run-out after his brain surgery and also to give County a wee fund-raiser shortly after they'd moved up from the Highland League to the Scottish League. What I especially remember about that game was Tommy's first goal. It was as good a free-kick as I have ever seen. The rest of his hat-trick was pretty tidy as well but that free-kick really was world class.

Could not believe my ears yesterday when I heard Neil Lennon saying Scotland had 2or3 world class players what is he on so he thinks 3 of the Scotland team would walk into any team in the world maybe that's why no one is considering him for a manager's job pointed out teerny as one 😂 he will be back at Celtic soon for 5 or 6 million 🤷
