Shame on ITV for allowing this interview to go forward. Is there not a research department to help the interviewers hold this man to account. There is nothing independent about the review bodies. Sunak hand picks the chair and other members. The recommendations are decided in advance by the government. He has met none of the pledges that are in his control. They have put taxes up over 15 times and there is no come back in this interview. No mention of the tariffs that will be in place on goods from this friday.

As an employee of the NHS for over a year now, its horrendous the stories and experiences I've had working there in such a small time. I wouldn't trust a word Rishi says, its all about numbers and not about service quality, this is peoples livelihoods. The stress and pressure is not worth the paying hourly rate.

I came out of working in care last year, had done it for 10 years, loved it, but i couldn't take clients ignored and the excruciating waiting times anymore, I want no part of how neglectful the whole health and social care sector has become now, I don't think I'll ever return to it, the government won't improve things, they have been drowning it for years to the point of collapse

Really weak on the NHS strikes. They won't sit in the room and negotiate unless junior docs call off the strike. That's not how it works. Additionally, waiting lists have been growing since 2010 - since before covid and before the strikes. To blame the strikes is incredibly weak.

Trust me, from someone who works within GP telephony. You can have the best phone system in the world but the issue is there is nowhere near enough staff to answer the volume of calls.

@@nl59 we use something called an Erlang calculator to calculate the number of staff required to answer all the calls presented to the practice effectively and the amount of staff you would need on the phones of just a small practice would be enough to fill a mini call centre for each. Just not practical.

He was not held to account on any score throughout this interview. And why? "Follow the money," is usually the answer, while not obvious here. It is probably connected to access and ratings, If they agreed to allow him to go on unchallenged, they will be allowed more access to him as the election season goes on. Access is something the media is always concerned with. If they did ask him hard questions and challenged him, they would lose their access.

Well large tobacco companies are currently pushing smoke free cigarettes. They heat the tobacco (they look exactly like short cigarettes) and you inhale from what looks exactly like a vape. So its no suprise the Tories have banned vapes first to open the market up...

Don't think he has been in chemist for 20 years. There is normally a four or five person queue to even speak to a pharmacist. Unless its run of the mill painkillers or cough mixture you are often told they don't have the stock and it has to be ordered in. Plus an appointment would have to be made a few days in advance for any private consultant.

As someone who works with children every day, my first responsibility in my role is to protect my students, whether it's from their parents, or their friends and especially from vaping. It is our responsibility in the education setting to protect all of our students that includes their mental well-being and their health which includes vaping.
