Another brilliant combination from a very difficult year - Well done Liam and Phil ... Thanks a million for sharing your talent ......Tell you what back in 1968 when steam was almost over - NOBODY even dreamt we would be sampling this spectacle over 50 years later! In fact most of us only saw steam in town and moving slowly - never at speed like we can now! Cheers gentlemen ..

Absolutely amazing! I like steam trains so much and I couldn't get enough to watch them at full speed. Kind regards from a train driver from Switzerland.

Fantastic compilation of 2021 steam, and what a fitting way to end it other than 7029's last Shakespeare Express of 2021. I was on board, it was a really great run and thoroughly enjoyed it. Regards, Dan

Cheers Dan, we saved for the best for last, although Tornado through Kirkby Stephen gave it a good race, probably the best loco performance of the year but the sound of a Castle in full cry ticks all our boxes.

Thanks for these impressive views. The diesels on the end seem needless and a bit insulting, but that's not your fault :)

Videos good but lack of audio and closed circuit commentary detracts from interest for this deaf viewer.

I think , if the steam loco needs assistance , it should be steam top and tail , no deisel , obviously , where traction is needed double header steam , thats the way it was before those miseable marine deisel lumps were forced into service from 1965 to 1975 .
@cr100012 жыл бұрын
Think you'll find that most of those diesels were there to provide heat & light for the train. Some of them may have been there to assist in turning the train at its destination. I doubt any were there to 'provide assistance'.

I just like the locomotives. The passenger cars are just a dead load, you know, like an ex wife.
@MarshSteamVideosTM2 жыл бұрын
Without the coaches, there is no loco. We need paying passengers to run these trains. I agree by the way.
