Great review. I auditioned these against Lumina 2’s and Kef LS50’s and preferred these to both. Found them fairly neutral and accurate and they fit in my room particularly well due to the ATL design. Work right against a wall. Paired with my Exposure 3510 I love the combo.

Fantastic sounding speakers. Mine are paired with the Exposure 2510 and also loving the combo. PS unlike many who have commented in various reviews I actually think they look great, particularly with the equally classic minimalist aesthetic of the Exposure.

That front port is so useful. Excellent review of a versatile speaker.

My prodigy1 speakers sound much better after that review thanks 😉. When I purchased them, if I’m honest, I expected a bit more depth from the transmission line. I use them with my sub woofer just to fill in the bottom end giving very satisfying results.

I think a measure of realism is required when viewing these speakers in bass terms. The cabinet size will always be a limiting factor in sheer bass mass terms. What the transmission line does is to provide a great tonal realism, controls bass and allows it to fit nicely into the mix without boom or bluster. For the size, competing against other speakers of a similar volume? It will do well indeed. But the cabinet size will always put an ultimate break on bass extension.

@@TheAudiophileMan I was a bit nervous about buying a speaker with a port albeit xmission line as when I used to go to hi-fi shows decades ago I always found them to be prone to a boxy colouration. I trust things have moved on since then.

Enjoy your review, as always. But why do you call them 'Progidy' every time? What's the catch?

Enjoyable review. However, maybe you can get your hands and Ears on the Triangle Capellas and/or Revival Adante 3?!?? Thanx !!!

Hi Paul, thanks for the review. I appreciate you probably no longer have them to make a comparison, but how do the Concept 30, I think your once best under £1000, compare to these, especially in the near field, as they’re now only £499. Thanks.

Are they really? I missed that. Thanks for the heads up. That is certainly an attractive deal. If you’re looking to save a few pennies and need a pair of quality speakers then that is an attractive option, I have to say.

The Prodigy 1's boosted treble explains the 'detail' and 'clarity'. LEAK for me!

I like the PMC, They sound very good for size and price... but the finish is real crap. The strange foil or laqcuer shows every fingerprint immedialety. The finish (the cabinet, not the people) is a wrong choice
@Madmart542 ай бұрын
@@m.i.blotto7578 I think the finish is a nice look albeit a magnet for finger prints. Not meaning to sound flippant the answer is not to touch them once situated or a quick wipe with a microfibre.
