My purpose for the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Remastering Project is to remaster every song from the first Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game, Red/Blue Rescue Team. In my opinion, the soundtrack, composed by Arata Iiyoshi and Atsuhiro Ishizuna, is one of the most beautiful collections of music to be found, and my goal is to bring each track to life through remastering, and in some cases re-orchestration. I hope that by taking on this task, this music can be enjoyed by more people and with more enthusiasm than ever. I believe that such powerful music should not be limited to the confines of a video game.

I love how Rayquaza remains completely oblivious to the cause of the natural disasters in this game when it was literally hurtling right above him the entire time... While in Super Mystery Dungeon, he's the FIRST one to sense the presence of the game's main antagonist and he just straight-up LEAVES THE PLANET at the very start of the game, like, "Nope. I'm not dealing with this end-of-the-world b/s again. Bye." Character development, everybody!

My god... This is a dream project come to reality. These sound amazing. Probably the best remixes I've ever heard. The first two Mystery Dungeon games have to have my most favorite soundtracks in any video game. I seriously hope you plan on remastering Explorers of Time/Darkness+Sky in the future as well.

They didn't intend to remaster PMD2 initially, due to a lack of MIDI files (different format in the game files, more difficult to extract). Recently, thanks to the efforts of another, that plan changed!

@@gotest231 It's sad the project got ditched in the end. The progress made was astoundingly promising. In fact, I think PMD2's OST was much more worth it than PMD's. Red Rescue Team still has some bangers like Thunderwave Cave, Sky Tower, Vs. Rayquaza, etc. but Sky's OST is just good all the way through.

I loved this boss theme and the boss fights that used this theme. I remember I'd always eat seeds and berries the first few turns before Rayquaza was within attacking distance.

I recently replayed Red Rescue Team, and I found this boss super easy. I thought Moltres was harder. I was a Squirtle and my partner was a Charmander. All I had to do was spam bubble, as my partner spammed metal claw and ember. Within like 5 hits or so we won. I was like "...wat" because of how quickly it ended.

This fight- Skitty used attract! Rayquaza became infatuated with Skitty! Cyndaquil used flamethrower! Skitty used doubleslap! (Repeat until attract wears off, then attract again) Using this strategy, you too can beat Rayquaza at level 22!

Actually I beat him at level 12. Without reviver seeds. Mudkip tried and absol did nothing but watch through the entire fight. I used assist, getting a few dragon dances off and landing a hyper beam. Normalize wasn't a problem, since it didnt exist yet.

All the final boss themes are cool but I prefer Dark Matter 02 because it has (imo) more musical purpose, combining the partner theme with the tree of life theme. I find it more emotional than Dialga's fight to the finish
