They likely will in the future but I don’t see what’s wrong with it in the FMC. The real plane can’t control them through the EFB or FMC so don’t see why it matter where it goes

I understand so many things about the difficulty of this development, but this EFB looks like a very early alpha release. At first they need to hire a new UI designer as the current implementation looks like 1990's. Also not providing external connection capabilities which is something that can be done very easily makes this kind a useless. If you have a fully built cockpit, you want everything externalized. I work in the tech industry for a long time now and sorry to say but most of their excuses about delays are kind a BS. Something we also used to say to our customers. :D And as we are talking about a paid product, I think we have the right to complain. Even if this version is still better than nothing.

@@737simviator a higher quality implementation of what we already have, but also third party integration, load management, runway intersection for the performance, and probably more that im overlooking writing this. it just feels so underwhelming given the delays and given what you have access to on plenty of other aircraft, both freeware and payware. even moreso given the price of the 737.

To be honest the UFT looks great to me. Especially because of the good readability of the data that is displayed. And for me that is a lot of information that I get in the UFT. It was indeed a very long time we all had to wait for the tablet. But finally we get a good instrument to work with. And I'm glad that there is even a UFT in the PMDG cockpit. Bo 🇨🇭

I would love to see that they move the "Setup" "Fuel" "Doors" and "FS Actions" etc. stuff to the tablet so the FMC is getting restored to it's original state. Then i will definitely get the addon.

@@johanjacobs9240i'm not sure if you understand my point. The extra menu in de FMC is not there in the real plane. So they should move it to the tablet, they have made the plane too, so it would be really nice if the extra menu would be moved to the tablet so the FMC is realistic.

FMC does not have all the data EFB does and EFB gives you the optimal RTG and ATM. If you used the FMC you have to guess it

Storage is right there on the window. That's the same we'd do in real life. You don't need it, you clip it to the window. I suggested such option to move it to other locations in the Cockpit during the beta, but got rejected.

Do you ever use the TOGA switch for take off. You can in the PMDG 737 sim. I use the cheat spot on the lower part of the MCP left side.

I don’t think Boeing don’t have VAPP. Thats an Airbus term. It’s always VREF plus 5 unless headwind is above 10 knows then it’s half the headwind component

Much more disappointing than a possible lack of features (different opinions on this one) is the inability to extend it to an external tablet and the tedious hiding process via the FMC. I am starting to think PMDG developers use Internet Explorer and print out E-Mails.

It is not understandable that for instance Just Flight Bae 146 succeed to integrate a 100% functional EFB with Navigraph options at once for Xbox users while PMDG is not. Sure, they will have arguments but, meanwhile, it is disappointing. In some way again the same experience as with liveries for PMDG B737. Let me guess: Xbox users have to pay for a EFB on Marketplace instead a update when it will be introduced after (long) time. Nevertheless, OK, I do it. That is not the problem. Still I appreciate PMDG B737 very much, but, PMDG, give Xbox the same prioriteit as PC.

Has bacis and that is about it. It will do the job of calculating stuff that you need but I hope they soon implement option to have this run on external device something like Fenix A320 where I can just open Chrome on my tablet and have the EFB show up there as I hate switching views in MSFS and zooming in to read stuff all the time. For how long they have been developing it.....could have more stuff to it other then these basics.

Well there's only one other EFB out there which even has the basics (Fenix). The others have a lot of nice bling bling but when it comes to actually using the EFB all others lack at least one of the three basic elements.

I will be honest, I expected the PMDG EFB to have a tad more features however I am sure more will be implemented. For now, I am very happy and thank PMDG for finally giving us their version. It is very competent and user friendly.

I believe that many people do not realize how complex it is to build and optimize an EFB as they intended it, not like other EFBs that might immediately hog your RAM and GPU performance. I have a great gaming laptop, but it's definitely not as powerful as some armored machines, and PMDG is the only developer that provides me with a buttery smooth simulation experience with the same system. I understand that it would be more convenient to have all the features that FBW offers, but in terms of optimization, there's simply no comparison. In my opinion, they will eventually include everything in that tablet, and at that point, they will still be in the first place precisely because they took two years to optimize it.

Too many people have too high expectations. “Oh it should have this and that because apparently every other aircraft has it”. PMDG never said on release you could control the weight and balance, ground services, doors, failures or aircraft settings. A real EFB doesn’t have this capability. Yea I know the FMC doesn’t either but as the FMC doesn’t either then surely it doesn’t matter where it is for now. You get an EFB just like a real one.

I get what you mean but I think the high expectations from some people come from PMDG literally saying that this EFB will have, and I quote ""some unique new features that a traditional "EFB" implementation cannot bring". They hyped up this EFB to be something truly exceptional that no other developer has managed to achieve.
