Sling also has a very nice add one that can give you up to other 72 channels it's called the total deals package for an extra $21 it gives you an extra 72 channels free 200 DVR

Bought an AirTV 2. DVR is always acting up and I still can’t see Telemundo in the local channels guide even though I know it’s a local channel and I get it on regular antenna. I just want to be able to record OTA this is so frustrating

SO WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR LOCAL CHANNELS 2/4/5/7 ? Very confusing. Just bought a Roku. We live far from cities, antenna will not work.

If antenna doesn't work in your location, you will have to get an add-on package from sling that include the local channels that you want, but in that case you might want to compare the price of other streaming channels to see which one is more cost effective.

Dish /Sling worries me. They are always pulling networks off the air over carriage disputes.

Sling and Dish are not the same! Sling only carries local stations in a few markets and is not involved in carriage disputes

They may offer different things but SLING TV L.L.C. (and AirTV L.L.C.) are WHOLLY OWNED subsidiaries of DISH Network Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH). In 2022, amid another Dish carriage dispute, Disney Networks Including ESPN, ABC went dark on Dish AND Sling TV. That’s how it works with Dish/Sling.

All streaming service such as DirecTV, Hulu with Live TV, etc have disputes and pulls networks off till they are solved. Cable and satellite companies do this as well.

.... or just read a good book since this whole sector has become such a racket. Now, with Direct and Dish becoming one expensive mess, they'll get you coming and going, and I'm betting Sling will go up significantly.

I have a new 70" LG TV. Sling tv is very grainy and never seems to achieve 60 fps (news shows and live sports have the texture of a movie). My internet is 200 MbPS, no other devices connected, and router is within 10 feet of tv. I've reset, all equipment a d all apps/software has been updated. Does sling just suck? I read it's supposed to be 60fps now, but all I get is granulated 30 fps.

what difference make the 30fps vs 60fps if they all are 720p which is what the most streaming services broadcasting with...

I've tried Sling and found I don't like it at all- ONLY for the free channels! Sling doesn't have Max or Cinemax while KZbin TV has all the movie channels along with all my local channels and an unlimited DVR and I do have Philo as well but for me, I wouldn't have it any other way!
