PMP Exam format change and PMBOK Changes in 7th Edition. How does it impact PMP Exam. If you are not aware, the PMP exam format has slightly changed as of Jan 2nd 2021 and the changes briefly are
1. Number of questions reduced from 200 to 180.
2. Total time to complete the exam reduced to 3hr 50 mins from 4 hours
3. One additional break for a total of two 10 minute breaks for computer based test, this is an additional 1 break to existing format.
4. Questions will be a combination of multiple-choice, multiple responses matching, hotspot and Limited fill-in-the-blank type questions. More information on PMI's website - www.pmi.org/ce...
PMBOK edition is also going for a complete overhaul as part of the 7th edition release which is expected to be available starting Q4 2021 (if not delayed) and would mean that the current PMBOK 6th edition based studies will not be relevant for the PMP exam if you plan to write the exam in 2022.
