Hello, Just got one of these radios...Just the radio and its a lovely piece of kit. However I am struggling to read the radio. My Firmware is 7.01 and the software I'm using is 3.00. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Tom

Tom Rees I've been using the standard 3.00 software without any problems. What sort of lead have you got Tom ?

Tony Ling I have got a simple 6 pin jack to the DB9 plug. Nothing else

Tom Rees There was a widely distributed interface schematic which was incorrect. A number of ready made cables were made to this incorrect specification. I'm guessing you might have one of these.

Hi There, I Have a TAIT T2020 FM. How did you make it do AM Frequencies? Also I Did the Scan Option But doesnt Seem to pick up Channels Programmed into Scan Group? Also I was wondering if you were able to email me or send me a Link of your Saved Programmed File to me? So I can Compared with mine I'm using Firmware 556 in Radio and Using Windows V3 Software. Thanks

Firstly, AM is not a frequency, it is a modulation mode. Full details of why this radio is capable of operating in AM are given in the narration

I do, it's the standard windows software for the later T2000 conventional models.

Hi To change am and fm use the the high (fm) and low power (am) setting if you do not have the modified pmr software. I worked at PMR products years ago and was the design engineer of this radio project for firelink. Please dont ask for schematics etc as the belong to PMR products ltd,but can help in certain areas if stuck.

I tried using the low/high power setting using the standard software. It gives low/high power FM. No means to set the AM mode that I can find at the moment.

AM is set by programming your channel to Narrow FM. Low power is required in addition to allow headroom for the carrier to swing. @@alanriley801
