Great video. Late fall is a great time to hike the PMT. I also enjoy early spring when the Mountain Laurel is in bloom. Don’t forget to try some of the side trails as well like the Sawtooth and the Mountain Nature trail.

I drove there last week in an RV. Very pretty country Didn’t get to hike the trail but headed back around Halloween from Tampa for an overnight. Looks like a peaceful trail. Enjoyed the video

Both the times Andrea and I were there, it was memorial day weekend and a bit hot (and taxing for the out-of-shape, hiking novices we are). If we go back, I think it'll be during a cooler time of year.

How did you shuttle from the TV tower (end point) to the starting point mile 0? BTW, AWESOME Nirvana Bleach t-shirt.

I was able to find a local who was able to shuttle me. There used to be a guy that would shuttle folks but he moved and there isn't any Uber or taxi service in the area. If you're going to be by yourself like I was, I'd suggest asking someone on the Pine Mountain Trail FB page if any one would be available for a ride on the date you want to go.

@@onthemove5031 Thanks! Also, would you recommend starting from the TV tower (23) or the country store (0)? Or do you think it makes any difference at all which end you start?

​@@jeffreyrozier2943 As you can see in my video I started at the Country Store. Initially I wanted to start at the TV tower because that's what a lot of others seem to do. But I don't think it matters where you start. Though the cool thing about coming in the direction I did, was that your final day you get to see all the waterfalls just before you finish your hike. Which was pretty awesome. :)

I believe you can purchase one at the park office or order one online from the Pine Mountain Trail Association.
