The difference between stock Nami Burn-E2 tires (CST) vs. PMT Stradali tires. Stock CST tires have 100 miles of wet condition riding (minimal wear)

Interesting side by side comparison.

I used both options on my scooter, the price was kit PMT 120 euro, GST kit 30 euro! Yes, PMT grip and ride softness on the road are better, but tire wear is twice as fast, in addition, PMT is slightly narrower than GST and in case of a puncture it is very dangerous, since the tire instantly loses air and it almost flies off the rim of the wheel, with a GST puncture you You won’t even feel it right away, and if the tire gets punctured, you can easily drive home at low speed. Conclusion - PMT tires are not for everyone; for practicality, GST is better

sticky rubber compounds that give racing lvl grip wear faster.

Having used both on my Burn e 2, I am not sure the price difference justifies the purchase of the PMT tires. The PMT tires do handle a bit better when turning, but they do not feel as solid in high-speed turns. I seem to get about half of the life from the PMT tires. And, the PMT tires are more apt to start sliding and skidding when braking hard. I did not expect this from the more expensive PMT tire.

I had a nasty vibration at 28 & 43 mph with the CST's, this went away with the radial PMT's

@@LL.Johnson That's good to hear that the vibrations went away. Interestingly enough, I am getting vibrations from the PMT tires, but at around (an indicated) 44MPH. Literally just hopped off the scooter and what a blast these things are to ride. Which scooter do you ride and are you happy with it? I've got the Nami Burn e 2 and just ordered my wife the Nami Klima. I really like the Burn e 2 but wish I had sprung for the Burn e 2 Max. Nothing wrong with the e 2, but it stops pulling after 30ish MPH.

@@TheVFRMike I have the same scooter you do. Do you run Armordilloz blue sealant in your tires?
@TheVFRMikeАй бұрын
I have not tried that particular sealant yet. In fact, I don’t have any sealant in my current tires. I was thinking of trying those beads that are supposed to balance tires, but maybe the sealant you mention will help with punctures as well as balance the tires.

@@TheVFRMike I have 1300 miles on my PMT Stradale tires without any flats. I went on a 2 hour long technical offroad trail ride with 2 EUC riders a few weeks ago. Being that my tires have 1300 miles of wear, they took a few punctures, but never lost pressure. If you read the product pages for Armordilloz, they have multiple kinds of scooter tire sealant, for different speeds. Blue is for fast scooters.
