One thing that always catches my attention is the way Doug makes a point to say the name of the person he is talking to. Something so simple but shows a genuine interest in having the conversation with the person. Something I actively try (and usually fail) to do but it seems to come pretty naturally to Doug. Love that he got a signature amp. Dude has one of the best 80's tones on the planet lol.

I wish Blackstar would make a 1 watt version of this amp, if that is even possible. I certainly have no need for a 100 watt amp, and even 10 watts is too much for practicing at home. Oh well, it sounds like a great amp, although Doug Aldrich can make any amp sound great.

Good to see Doug as powerfull as he always was... 🤘🏻☮️🎸🎶 To me this amp is lacking of tone, gain and top end brilliance in comparison to his modded Marshalls... might be the recording?!

I wouldn't say Doug is underrated, but maybe under appreciated is the better word. If thats not good tone. What is? You'd think there'd be hoards of guitar villains gathered around. Trying to pry any tidbit of guitar gear voodoo from Doug's sick mind. I know I'd be very gratefull to hear his methods for madness firsthand. The guy just gets it. Simple rigs like his will always endure. Peace.

Yes i was also thinking that,the cleaner and cruncher tones sounded a little muddy and on the dark side!Not enough clarity and sustain,notes sounded on the dull side!I would have removed some of the muddy low end bass frequencies for more clarity!
