He revealed a lot in this if you listen closely. he said all his previous releases were mixtapes, so that means the label pays the artist literally nothing or a fraction of what you would get if it was an album. Plus hes signed to atlantic, and did so before he really blew up so he definitely doesnt have a good deal (meaning he probably gets pennies on the dollar esp since his fans dont buy physical albums and stream). essentially he probably has made almost nothing off his music, and even said the label didnt contact him for 9 months. not saying hes broke, he tours and hopefully keeps most of that, and said he owned other businesses which is good. but he definitely doesnt like his label
