Will we be getting a "WEAKEST POWERUPS" video? I suggest MK11 Kano's powerup, Vege-Mighty. Gave him 1 hit of armor on Kanoball, allows him to do Up Ball, and only added 2% extra damage. Problems: Up Ball was a great move in MKX because it was an almost unreactable anti-air reversal. Anyone can play around Up Ball in MK11 by simply not jumping after Kano powered up, so it was just a combo ender most of the time. Armor on Kanoball was something you'd fall for once, and never again after the first Kanoball eats your projectile. And I don't even think it made Kanoball safe on block, even if you burned bar.

Yeah rage is a universal mechanic so it can't really be unbalanced but the incentives it creates are the problem to me. There is no interesting counterplay to rage, you just have to run.

Even though it's not on the list, Shaolin Flame from MKX Flame Fist Liu Kang is the one I remember the most. Having a power-up to both your Zoning and Rushdown along with the Windmill Punches (which replaced Bicycle Kick in that Variation) and the faster Fireballs was super scary to deal with, also the fact that Shaolin Flame could've been canceled into another special, making it even scarier.

In mk1 , I use tremor to gift me armor for hype mode. Star with the protection !

To be fair there are ways to punish crystalline tremor armor. A fast 2 hit string will punish it if the first hit breaks the armor, he won’t recover before the second hit lands. Also if you anti air the armor then he hangs in the air for long enough for a conversion…

I think an honorable mention here should be Terminator's armor move from MK11 cause before that game had armor break moves, he could just activate it and you couldn't do anything.

Every MK character should have a power up..that you have to build towards similar to Johnny Cage’s star power in MK1. I have so many ideas for each character. Would be cool if each character has multiple power ups that you could choose based on your play style as well. For example, when scorpion builds enough of this “power” his head becomes a skull and he gets new fire breathing move and extra damage on all specials. Lasts for about 20 seconds

MKDA Nitara 50/50s with power were so unfair, she could forego her damaging combo for a hard knockdown into power up then do unparryable 50/50s that were plus on hit or knocked down, and the mids were a punish mixup and the lows were safe

It's how they changed the armor. You can still combo the armor in that game, but it's the same hit animation every time, so usually doesn't result in huge combos. It's a bit tricky to explain, but it's easier to deal with in MK1 because of it.
