The goat series has returned

Basically the only game where the best home ports were on Sega 32x and 3DO...yes, really. If you want to play the best old home versions on a TV, you need a 3DO or 32x.

Also: the Nintendo DS version of Ultimate MK3 is a thing. Unlike the 16bit versions, this is NOT "a poor man's MK Trilogy", this is definitely an arcade worthy port almost akin to the Saturn version with the shortened Ultimate Kombat Kodes and such. If even the DS can provide an excellent UMK3 experience (and by far *THE BEST* handheld MK experience outright, as well as the best since the Gameboy version of MKII), then it stands to reason that UMK3 is the standard...while they probably would prefer that you forget about MKT. Entirely. And I say this as someone whose favorite Klassic MK _IS_ Trilogy...on PSone & Saturn (Yeah, it just barely edges out MKII on GB for me); the N64 version was hot garbage that should've never been attempted. I don't think that it could've even handled the less intensive UMK3. Side Note: Given how they screwed up the sound programming/compression on the Snes version of Street Fighter Alpha 2 that caused it to have five second load times everywhere, I can only imagine Capcom would've somehow screwed up as badly or worse had they attempted SFA2 or even *base arcade* SFA3 on N64.

my opinion is that its really mediocre. its a fun story by itself but as an extension of the story its not good. because of multiple timelines, i find it hard to care for the characters at all. which is a shame cause the personalities are really good in this game. and i find it disappointing it didnt leave a teaser for the next story. the expansion was really short so i found it really fast paced and everything blending together. kinda wish havik was fleshed out (pun intended) a bit more. he really seemed cool like kang the konqueror in the mcu

I seriously think NRS or a developer has a vendetta against Sareena. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride as in shes considered, but often replaced. Instead of using her for the BiHan storyline, they genderswapped Sektor. And if you want to say she's evil in this timeline, bring her in say she's from a different timeline, possibly Havik's, and she's good there. I seriously want to know why NRS, why do you all hate Sareena so much? And the only reason to genderbend Sektor is to be a love interest for Bihan? Really empowering their NRS.

This feels very much like a middle section of the game. Like there are going to be more expansions. I didn't hate it but it felt very Mid. Fortunately, The free Story skins and the characters make up the price for me.

Being alive long enough too see mortal Kombat through the arcade era and the home console 3d and modern era I could definitely write a better story then this garbage

Excellent story once again! I didn't expect Rain and Tanya to get their own chapter, that was a nice surprise. I also really like how much emphasize they put on Bi-Han's character, and how they let it not get resolved already, letting his character development continue to the next game. The fight scenes were amazing and the presentation was incredible as always, both in terms of graphics, voice acting and soundtrack. Overall, amazing story once again by NRS/WB, showing once again why Mortal Kombat is the best fighting game series ever, and why Mortal Kombat 1 is OBJECTIVELY PHENOMENAL!

I think my biggest issue with the dlc story was we didn’t really progress anything. All characters are on their expected trajectories from the end of MK1 by the end of this dlc except for Sub. He is the only character that is not where we left them by the end of the original story. If nothing changes then it feels like a waste of time unfortunately

9:30. I really don’t get why none of Johnny’s references land; specifically, Kenshi should’ve gotten his alien reference. With most of the other Earthrealm characters being either from rural China or from an insular warrior community (which may be in rural China if Sektor being Madam Bo’s daughter is any indication), I wouldn’t expect pop culture references to land with any other Earthrealmers

My main issues are: 1. It's too short. 2. Cyrax and Sektor's consistent MCU Iron Man helmet removal. Constantly unmasking for the sole purpose of showing a pretty face, even when their face could get easily blown up or exposed. It's irritating. Just make them fucking humans if they're not gonna be masked 90% of the time. 3.They were REALLY stretching for fight scenarios. Fighting the same duo twice in a row with swapped positions was just so lazy.

I really like havik and when the trailers came out my hyper was big...now my disappointment was big😢😢😢

I can NOT believe that I'm saying this..... But we need another reboot(not a soft reboot,a hard reboot), and we need to let real story writers create the new continuity.

The story is a big bunch of meh. Havik is such a letdown indeed. And Scorpion saying Cyrax saved his life from a fall thay wouldn't kill an npc is a hilariously bad, lazy and rushed attempt to settle their conflict Also Bi-Han is wasted since the start of the main story, dude was obviously betraying Earthrealm at the first opportunity. Missed a chance to give him depth and make him someone with good intentions but more extreme views on how to achieve them.

Did they fire the writers from the main story? how did this end up being THIS bad???

I feel bad for the voice actors and animators and sound team. What a waste of time and money with how terrible this story is
