Start now!! There are probably classes in your area. Trapeze artists and circus people in general are so sweet and encouraging.

You can do lyra, flying trapeze, static trapeze, contortion, juggling....everything is learnable!!! Literally just play with friends. I'm at a park right now with circus friends learning to juggle and stilt walk for fun. Never stop!!

@@stephenlozada7158 I knew someone who bounced out of the net onto his head. His widow never got over it. My sister's brother in law went past the catcher and slid down the apron on his back. He couldn't wear a shirt for several weeks. My sister was only a couple of years from being one of the great slack wire walkers of all time. She ran on a wire with visible slack for several hours every day. And worked three acts every show. Her husband's family wanted her to fly. She put her foot through the squares of the net and twisted her knee. She switched to standing balance trapeze. She was good but not like she would have been.

Doing trapeze in club med was so cool! When you do it for the first time if they think you are good they offer for you to do a more experienced trick and I’ve always said no and I wish I didn’t cause looking back on it, it would have been fun.

I really want to do trapeze but I feel like it would be too expensive. I’m an outgoing person and I will do whatever it takes to get over my fears. Trapeze would help with heights and falling.

Maybe you should some kind of full-contact martial art instead? Bruises and some times a broken bone. And adrenaline rush from a fight. But not a crushed body from tens of meters. Some equipment like gloves etc won't cost too much.

I went to the cirque du soleil with my class once and when i was on the trapeze le mister told me, only me, to put my legs on the bar, take off my arms from the bars. Then he told me to release my legs and i made a backflip because the mister was controlling the safety ropes....
