That was a great game for the orchids and set the stage for the Kumuls to triumph over the Lions later in the evening. Keep that team and build on it for the 2022 World Cup in Britain.

That last try was one of the best I ever enjoyed in Rugby League. You girls set the platform for the boys to defeat the Lions. What a great game to watch live back then.

i feel for the english men and girls coming from the nothern hemisphere not only do they have the crowd against them but they have the heat and humidity as well as being in a part of the world where rugby league is played and watched constantly it's like the nz soccer team going to europe and expecting to beat england,spain and france in soccer difficult if not impossible; still love seeing our nothern rugby league family members in the pacific.

Come off it mate. England RL is hardly the equivalent of NZ soccer. We invented the game and it`s watched by far more paying fans here than in NZ. Our perennial problem is an obdurate working-class culture which stresses the physical over the cerebral. We would cope better with heat and humidity if we were more technically and tactically intelligent.

@@untoxicconservative3763 you cannot avoid the physicality in the game overthinking a simple game is sometimes the problem.u may have invented the game but the game among the pacific island kids is played where ever they can using a shoe as a ball,cans anything it's like an excuse for a social gathering i doubt there are many scholars in the papua new guinean team they just ran hard tackled hard and tried to minimise their mistakes england just made too many mistakes and a lot on the first tackle you can't win without the ball simple, still good to see some different faces win lose or draw,crowds may not be big in nz but why go out in the cold when u can watch it in comfort its, no coincidence that the auckland rugby union teams dominance has stopped since the warriors emerged .

One of the best games I saw on livestream this year was SEQ u-18s girls` final(St Brendan`s v Redlands). I would guess about 70% of the players were of Polynesian heritage. Sure, they were powerful, ran hard etc, but more striking was the high skill level and positional awareness. This must come from access to better technical coaching and facilities in Australia than we have in England or you have in NZ.

@@untoxicconservative3763 your right about the coaching we are so lucky to have the world toughest and most cut throat league comp on our doorstep in the pacific that combined with a love of the game gives us a advantage other emerging nations don't have i also think that there are getting to be too many polys in the nrl thats why i enjoyed seeing the burgess boys the trebojovics and hopefully many more ethnicities in the nrl i grew up in nz but have lived in aust for last twenty years i am in heaven as far as league is concerned, i remember when st helens came to nz one of the players gave my mates sister his jersey she didn't have it long lol,the english players here are a breath of fresh air

Another failed decapitation attempt from Tara Stanley at the end. When will a coach at Castleford or England get her to change her awful tackling technique? Had she connected she could have been sent off. On the plus side, a great game to watch, more enjoyable than the men`s, and hugely encouraging to see how rapidly the Orchids are progressing.

they really need to work on their defence- especially moving up as one and filling in the gaps and spacing when in defence - but good game girls - great win♥👏🏼👏🏼

It's a good win. But it is a home game remember. We have the crowd and humidity scorchers that we fit in really well. A great winning game is when you play outside your country. It will take 10 to 20 years for this women to step up with skills and patterns to be in the world standard. Rank in Pool A is just exciting like the PNG kumuls did. It means they have stepped up a last stairs.🙇🤷🏋️

What a foward pass by England
@untoxicconservative37634 жыл бұрын
Do you ever watch Rugby Union? The kind of flat pass that risks being called forward by the likes of you might happen fifty times in a Union game and nobody bothers. It`s where you give the benefit of the doubt. In Union everything is innocent till proven guilty. In League, unfortunately, everything is guilty till proven innocent.
