Great Game. The Kumuls showed they can put a come back despite not having the more experienced international players given the NRL finals. Coach Stanley Tepend's strategy to run this team for players to showcase their capabilities for world cup is point on. Now he's got a batch of outstanding Kumuls to select to join more experienced international Kumuls for the world cup. This game showed promise and continues growth with improvement and that's what we want to see. Our boys need more international exposure such as a PNG Kumuls Tours and Pacific Tests to improve. Looking forward to seeing the Kumuls in the coming world cup.

@@Fake-iw1qb PNG has experienced rugby league players in NRL and Super League. Follow them to know them. It is not about embarrassment, but using the opportunity to develop current potential players whom shall strengthen the Hunters, gain opportunities to play in other NRL feeder clubs/NRL clubs, Super League/Super League feeder clubs. All in all, players further develop to bring skills/game quality into PNG Kumuls. That's a strategy approach to make the PNG Kumuls become better.

Aussie strategy was minimizing contact by early kicks down field, passing ball out wide, doing more kicking at the goal line and picking on PNG's weak spots. They plan and execute tactical games, especially so that the effects on them from PNG's physical contacts is minimized. The early kicks in the 2nd and 3rd tackle counts say it all. I'm sure coaching team would have picked these up. Next time, Kumuls 20, Aussies 30.
