Nice vid, K V... My Dad worked at the 'Upper Baker Dam' from the time it was built, until 1983... and of course anywhere else Puget Power wanted... Great areas for hiking! Thanks for posting... & a 'new Sub'...!!

Thanks! I'm a naval architect and it still amazed at the power of water. The roar of the the water coming off the sluiceway was awesome. I'm going to try to get my videos edited and posted more often, but I still have my day job and a Troop to lead.

Wondering where you guys went in at, Lyman and to the South Fork Nooksack. Or did you go in at the Middle fork Nooksack? The PNT is my old stomping grounds. I can remember when they first opened it. Really nice country.

Eastbound, the PNT follows the east side of the South Fork Nooksack from the Mt. Josephine area north into the Mt. Baker Wilderness up to Bell Pass. Very beautiful area.

Enjoyed the video. Loved the view from on top of the dam. There was so much snow. In what month did you hike this part of the trail?

Thank you! We hiked this section at the end of June 2022. It was a high snow year and late. We had backcountry skiers going up to ski as we were coming down. I wish we were a little more prepared for the snow traverses with at least ice axes in order to slow any unintended slides. We were roped up in areas that were steep and took it slow.
