The common denominators of successful people are that they have made a habit of doing the things that failures don't like to do. People form habits and habits form futures. What do your feelings have to do with it anyway? Get it done whether you feel like it or not. Successful people are more concerned with pleasing results than they are with pleasing methods. Define your purpose - does it get you fired up? Can you define it in one sentence? Motivation = Expectancy X Value/Impulsivity X Delay Have a goal that you really value and that you expect to be able to achieve (high motivation) Impulsivity is doing what you feel like doing if you feel like doing it (low motivation) Dive down deeper into the good habits and continuously prune the defeating bad habits from your life. Resolve - Do - Create a new world Thanks, Brian Keep Pushing

Make a habit of doing the things that failures don't like do. Do what needs to get done whether I 'feel' like or not.

"Making a habit of doing the things that failures don't like to do" is probably the most compelling way you've presented the importance of habits and not caring about whether you feel like following them today or not. Thanks!

In the book atomic habits, James Clear says this, “ long-term goals don’t last. Long-term systems do.” if you want to achieve something, you have to be able to do it after the motivation to do it subsides.

Thank you Brian again. Another great boosting. I felt like doing nothing from the couple days, felt like no sens to do so. I fired the trigger after your review. "Action brings inspiration" - I have forgot that the action has to made with desire intention, otherwise I felt as robot, without innovation, without desire to do so. Thank you for your reminder.

Thx for all of your videos, I started watching them all a week ago, nearly all days long from 6h30 to 19h30 at 1.3 speed. Funny thing about "defined" here : my 1st and only habit for now is starting doing chores : and it's the 1st thing failures hate to do. I must be on the right track ;-)

Thanks Brian. I really like how you incorporate past books and concepts you’ve covered in your presentations. It creates high quality depth and meaning. This topic can’t get enough attention, definitely one I struggle with. You and your team deserve super awesome high fives for being so consistent and dedicated to your mission.

You hit on something I have forgotten and allowed to lapse for a long time and the results of my life shows. That is delayed gratification. Instead of going for what I really want long term, be inspired by that, driven by that, and executing against it; I have allowed society, other people's opinions (their fears, wants, needs) to dictate (drive) what I do. And thru pleasing others out of fear of rejection or fear of missing out (because everyone is doing it), I have missed my true calling, passion, drive, purpose. So, thank you for bringing this up because we live in a world where instant gratification and short term results are put up on a pedestal and long term grind (process, training, development) is viewed as secondary or at the bottom of the list. So now, I will need to retrain myself to exercise short term (instant gratification) results and focus only on long term results (desires, wants) and stop compromising and taking perceived "short cuts" when they are actually detours (or misleading paths).
