Salam Nanba, I will tell you the story of that incident, as I saw it on one of K.S Ravikumar sir interview, some time ago. The reason behind the great, late Raghuvaran sir telling " I know" was not planned. Ravikumar sir had written a long page with dialogues, because that is the moment Raghuvaran sir finds out. But Raghuvaran sir was not in a place where he could remember all that. So I am not 100% sure, but K.S sir told Raghuvaran sir to tell the dialogue "I know", but only a few times - but Raghuvaran sir took his own take on it, and rest is history.

During my childhood and teenage, I was always celebrating Padayappa and it was my favourite film and watched more than 20 times. But days passed, I felt, padayappa is a male chauvinistic film. Athigama aasai padra aambalayum athigama koba padra pombalayum nalla vaazhnthatha sarithiram illa. Dialogue like this shows the state of mind and I am not justifying neelambari's character. and films like cheran pandian, naattamai are caste centric films. I want to know, what was going through your mind when you were writing the vijayakumar sir's Panchayat scene in naattamai. I have a huge respect on you for your achievement sir. I just want to know, is it your intention to make films like this or just the industry and audience itself were like that so you want to survive or forced to do during that time. I don't want to single out you sir, there were other films as well from other directors during 90s and early 2000s. I also felt, why directors were not bold enough to take close to life movies even there were many directors more talented including you. This could have made a huge impact in the society which is happening right now. I am not saying, movies are the one only medium to take responsibility but on a large perspective, your generation could have taken some burden which will ease out this generation and the directors. We do know your assistant directors are doing a great job on your mentorship but I always felt bad why there wasn't much effort from your side
