PO TOI ISLAND HIKE HONG KONG | How to get there, full guide from start to finish, views, highlights

Po Toi Islands are a small group of Islands located at the south-east of Hong Kong Island with a population of around 200. The main Island of the group is Po Toi Island.
This video gives us informations on how to get to Po Toi Island, fare, ferry schedule at Blake Pier and the complete details regarding the main hiking trail at Po Toi Island, though there are also some other things to see there like the rock formations, Tin Hau temple, and the campsite area. But we focused on the hike as we need to catch the 3pm ferry. We will visit the island again one day.

hi! I'm planning to go on a saturday, taking the ferry from aberdeen, but I want to go to straight to stanley from po toi. in 5:55 it says there are ferries departing from po toi to aberdeen via stanley, so I was wondering if that means the ferry will stop by at stanley so people who wants to can get off there without having to take the ferry all the way to aberdeen? people recommend me to go on sunday instead but unfortunately my schedule is packed so I can only go on saturday :( please kindly reply if you know some information regarding my question. thank you! :)

Oh okay, Saturday is fine too and they have a schedule, maybe less crowded which is good. So when you arrived at Po Toi, you'll see "ferry schedules" by the ferry pier, then you can choose/decide which ferry to take. If you'll see Po Toi to Stanley schedule then perfect. But if it's only "to Aberdeen via Stanley", means it will will drop by Stanley before going to Aberdeen, then you can "GET OFF at Stanley.

@@OFFROAD_HUNTER thanks for replying! at first I was planning on to depart from stanley but turns out they only have one schedule departing from stanley on saturday which is on 1:20 pm, so I think I won't have enough time to spend as they only have two schedules departing from po toi (2 pm & 4 pm) :( so I'm planning on to depart from aberdeen instead then take the ferry to stanley from po toi! I've been thinking the 'aberdeen via stanley' ferries will definitely stop by at stanley, but I need reassurance lol :D can we purchase the ferry tickets online or do they only sell it on the spot though? thank you very much! :)

@@codename1004 ☺️☺️ actually, I'm not sure if there's booking for ferry tickets, but if I were you I will trust the website's ferry schedule, 2pm and 4pm Aberdeen via Stanley means the ferry will drop by Stanley before going to Aberdeen. They have their hotline on their website you can call them aswell for further inquiries ☺️

No worries dear, to go to the ferry pier early is a good idea too☺️. I haven't tried going there on Saturday so not really sure how busy. If you had watched the start of my video, we just queued up and we topped up octopus/paid cash before they let us enter the ferry. It's like taking public buses, no booking, just be there on time☺️
