Poachers are only one side of the problem. As mentioned in the documentary - the Chinese/Asian markets are at fault. If there were no economical incentives to poach for pangolins the African communities would not do it. The ultimate solution is aiding African economies and eliminating the demand in Asia. The scales of pangolins are used in traditional medicine, but the science tells unequivocally there are no health benefits from consuming these scales - its the same as eating your nails or hair. Chemically it is the exact same compound!

there is a simple way to make the life of the Pangolin and in fact ALL other life forms hold a value greater than can be offered by Asian markets. It's actually quite simple and only requires land, solar energy, a connectivity solution, and human effort. But you won't do it yourself. You want someone else to solve the problem for you. That's the catch. YOU have to be the solution. Are you ready for that?

Yes, catching the poachers, that's good.... But the problem is, by the time the poachers were captured, they've already killed the animals... The tusks of the elephant for example, if they already have the tusks, then that means they have already killed the creatures We need to find, finish them before they even have time to act
@tylermagdych4917

I guess this is the part that sucks truly, it's like a regular criminal, you can't arrest someone who hasn't done anything wrong, unless you can prove their intentions. The other interesting thing is how poachers seem to even effect the traces of selective breeding and evolution in the sense. More African Elephants have begun being born that do not have the gene for tusks turned on, as more are unfortunately being poached that have tusks, yet the ones who do not aren't being hunted and thus pass down the gene more often for no tusks. It sucks to an aspect but it's almost becoming we have to beat them to their own game even, such as coloring or surgically removing parts of rhino horns for instance so they can be assured they won't be targeted in the wild. I'm just hoping that soon we can truly put an end to poaching.
