Pocahontas: A Burlesque Indian Song - 1905 Standard Disc Record

Here is a video of a rather obscure popular recording from 1905. This song pokes fun at the story of Pocahontas, a tale that Disney many years later would make in to an incredibly well known film. This song also follows in the trend of "Indian Themed" pieces that became wildly popular after the release of "Hiawatha," in 1902. This Standard Disc Record is played on my 1906 Standard x-2, a machine sold by Columbia as a client.

I got it! The singer on this is J. W. Myers! Pretty late for him.

I'm unsure who's singing on this, it sounds like a cross between S. H. Dudley and Dan W. Quinn
