As a native american Disney should not make a live action movie or piss off many native american. Yes the real story of Pocahontas is a tragedy. The fiction cartoon one Disney made is a masterpiece but knowing recent movie live action remake they better not make it or even change it. The current one they made is still good and iconic even to this very day.

The Pocahontas-movie is very controversial because of its historical incorrectness. I think they therefore not want to make a remake and I understand that. Maybe Disney can make new movies about Native Americans. They have a rich culture and mythology: there must be something in it what could be a (Disney-)story.
