Still, I would’ve hoped having seen like all of us that from finishing the last 10 minutes of the 90 well on top he would have demanded his players go on the offensive and not play for the penalties. To be honest I suspect that attitude from the team stems directly from the manager. He’s a serial loser and his substitutions this season and this game shows he only makes defensive ones.

I think she talked sense. Today, "Poch Out" can not just be the reaction. Ultimately, it was the missed chances that cost us. If players miss that many chances, ultimately, what options will the manager have rather than be defensive because he surely can't rely on his attacking options to close out a game.

As a LFC fan, watching on tv it was a close game, but half way through the second half the cameras settled on Poch, walking around his area. He looked scared and clueless to myself, whilst Klopp was excited, animated and encouraging. Right then, I felt LFC would somehow claim the trophy, Chelsea lost the game rather than LFC won it, I truly think Poch froze on the day, he should have been very confident all things considered.

There is no excuse. Chelsea had 4 more days to prepare for this match. And were worse than Liverpool's 3rd team of youngsters during all extratime. Pochettino should be fired it is obvious. He just showed his averageness. Saying that we were waiting for a penalty shootout - is proof. What is the progress compared to last year? One particular moment in extra time showed just how much our mentality had dipped and was ultimate proof we were going to lose the match even in a penalty shootout: Madueke picks the ball on the right flank and pushes foward in a kind of mini counter attack, Nkunku is running down the middle against Liverpool's CBs, Madueke strings a pass to the left flank and all Nkunku has to do is run wide of the CBs and he would have been in either a one on one with the keeper, or could cut in and bury one in the top corner; but he doesn't, he stays central and the ball goes out of play! We were done, Liverpool had defeated us mentally and it was just a matter of time before they lifted the trophy. An injury ravaged Liverpool with numerous academy players have more maturity and grit than a £1 billion pound team! People talk about how this is a young team and needs time; yesterday's game showed that young players can perform, with the right mentality. Its not a valid argument any more I'm afraid.

A week to prepare, they had 3 days. Chances not taken again!! Same old story for the past 3-4 seasons. Yes they had injuries but so did we. But extra time they were there for the taking and we shouldve taken the game to them but they took it to us!! Poor performance in extra time and we didnt learn our lesson when VVD scored the first time. Into the record books as the first team to lose 6 consecutive cup finals, embarrassing!!!

Poch did NOT say this. (Poch playing for penalties) .I've watched the press conference several times. He said that after the start of the second half of extra time that: "they, the team start to feel that maybe penalties will be good for us" This was in response to a question about extra time and Poch talking about tired players and substitutions. No-one knows what was said in the team talk but he did not say that the manager was playing for penalties or instructing the players too. I'm as disappointed as any fan and we missed a golden opportunity.

But that attitude is down to the coach. He should have installed in them by now that you give all until the end. The fact that you had tired players and the coach had no credible alternative is telling. Can you imagine the Chelsea players under John Terry or Frank Lampard coming off after that game complaining they were "tired" and hanging on for penalties? He'd have smacked very single one of them! Poor professionalism and bad attitude will win you nothing. Whether playing the full Liverpool team, or the entire Academy team, they should have given everything. They never and they lost. It's down to the players and coach. No excuses.

If this young lady’s comments are true , about Pocchetino words ( holding on for the penalties) - it’s disturbing !! The Coach has very little confidence in this team. In all fairness ; all those glorious missed opportunities, and mediocre performances by most players; certainly affected the team’s chances to win. From the very start Chelsea looked and played without much confidence. Poch and his assistants should have changed some of the team tactics . It appears as though Poch utilized the same system as was used by Chelsea in the ManC game. Once again the decision to sub players in the latter stages of this game, had an adverse reaction : just as he brought in Chalobah for the MC game; which provided the tying goal ; this Chalobah change provided Liverpool the score . Even Chillwell was surprised that he was being substituted at this late stages of the game !! Pocchetino’s system is not working for Chelsea . A change is required .

Liverpool spent on 4 new midfielders just over £105 million as we recouped £52 million from the sale of Fabinho and Henderson and your midfield cost close to £275 million Caicedo should have been sent off for a same tackle that Curtis Jones got a RED card for and he did not even get booked.
