Love the bag for a first bag from Louis Vuitton what bag would you recommend x

Depends on several things: 1. Personal lifestyle: everyday bag or an occasional one (like a date/evening bag/clutch- felicie in emprainte leather would suit the occasion) 2. I would rather think about an acctual statement bag and classic: speedy, neonoe, alma, keepall or other maybe newer than these but definitely avoiding seasonal patterns. In case of any damage lv gives two years of quarantee, and there is a chance they will offer you a new one instead of repair, with seasonal there is often only a chance of repair. 3. I personally did not pick speedy nor neonoe beacuse I do not like when the bottom part (especially with an insert) sticks out (quite wide bottom) I have chosen gracefull as it is less common in my area, seems more structured than neverfull. If I were in my twentis I would probably gravitate towards neonoe it is a great travel and everyday bag/sac.

@@locoa648 quality might be hard to obtain nowadays. I bought my Pochette Metis in leather hoping it will serve me years and it cracked after few months (you can see the clip with glazing issue) With lv you get a quarantee so they can fix/exchange if they still have a particular model. Choosing between woc and a bag probably most people will advise a bag, however woc looks also really cute, but it may also differ with a different body type. In the matter of durability it is hard to predict, in the matter of a timeless bag -alma pm, but you can try it on and might find out that maybe the zipper doesn't work smooth, or maybe the space you need in a bag is not sufficient in a woc.

@@locoa648 in terms of investment as a piece you will get your money back if you change your mind. Well if it sits on a shelf and you do not use it for several years you might get your money back (depending on how much they increase the price of that particular model). In terms of invest=putting your money into sth, I am still investing in lv more than other brands because of the customer service and quite quick repair compared to other brands. I might change my view over time.

Does the gold finish on the round button wear off from use

The gold finish might wear off after some time. After two years I have no sign of wear off, no scratches, if discolouring appears on any of the gold hardware during two years of guarantee I would take it to lv for exchange/repair. After two years, if it happens you can send the bag for a repair but with extra charge of course.
