Its not that eclectic because for the most part they suit one style of football. if the sporting director wants to buy players that suit your philosophy fine and theyve done that for the most part. however managers have to be able to bridge the gap. If a manager gets it so drastically wrong as pochettino has then its on him because we have tried to recruit for him. In terms of the manager, we need one with an uncompromising attacking positional identity. We have foolish young players that we cant rely on individually so we have to have a system like De Zerbis or Anges that creates too many BIG chances for even players like Sterling or Jackson to fumble. Poch’s problem is that he plays an outdated 4-3-3 which creates chances on counters and transitions that suit higher class attacking players who have good individual decision making.

@@matissearmani As for what happens during half time? It is clear: the team lacks leaders and they lose concentration and get out of rhythm of the game because of the break. Every single match also the first 10-15 minutes of 1st half they are shaking because they lack confidence and experience. The team is more reactive than pro-active that's why in big matches they perform better. These are patterns of inexperience and that comes only good with time and no coach can fast forward that. I bet with you no matter which manager comes next we will have the same issues until either we add experienced players or wait 1-2 years.

Poch cannot be blamed for our form this season. He received a group of kids, all of which are new to either the club or the league or both. On top of that, you have the worst injury crisis I have ever seen in a football club. You can point out mistakes he made in particular matches but overall Poch is not at fault here. He was thrown into an impossible situation. The blame can only be put on the owners and higher management. I am not saying I want Poch to stay. He showed no leadership and never really brought anything new to the table, but the state of the team is not his fault. I honestly don’t believe there’s any coach in the world that could get this team to be competitive this season.

He is accountable for player usage, man-management, morale, selection, tactics, training, and in-game management. And although he’s far from perfect and I do want to see a different manager next season, I have to be fair and say he would have a much easier job if not for the horrendous decisions made by the board.

Listen. Its way too easy to blame the ownership at this point because it seems like they can do no right. We knew coming into this szn and from last szn and hell even from the roman era that this was going to be a work in progress considering the high turnover and off field stuff. So why is it do we have to deal with a dude that has zero accountability for the stuff that never works, a never changing reliance on qualities of individuals to pull him through.
