Regardless of how inconsistent we've been, the fact is we've been the 4th best team since December and that's a massive sign of improvement that shows Poch is working on an uphill trajectory and deserves backing for next season. People easily forget that the narrative at the start of the season was that we would not expect much better than 6th or 7th this season as part of the process. Considering our injuries, Poch has done very well to keep us in the conversation for those positions. People need to let go of his Spurs history. Many of the people who complain about this would happliy take back Conte or Jose despite their time at Spurs.

Don't want Jose or Conte back. TT yes, and maybe Zidane(if we can get Clement and Pintus back too). Most expected us in top 4(some even with a trophy). Injuries have been universal this season, everyone has adjusted too it, we have better squad depth than most. Many are currently assuming players being fit will naturally equal to better results, but remember the Mudryk instead of Sterling sub where near whole of Bridge was fuming? Or playing Colwill as left back with Maatsen available? We'll have more such dilemmas. It's nothing to do with injuries or being young. It's mismanagement. If Pochettino stays then he stays, but we've got to be better.

You have to consider one thing. You can buy players and form a squad. But but but you cant buy TEAMSPIRIT. And to perform on the highest level constantly you need teamspirit and believe/trust. Ive played in 3rd highest Division in Germany. Had auditions for Zweite Bundesliga Teams. The security from knowing your mates are willing to bail you out. Make an extra run to cover your mistake is a huge boost for your confidence. And you want to pay back. Do the extra run for your mate. Help him out if needed. That drives a team forward. Just watch Leverkusen. They are unbeaten so far because of it. How many times they scored in the final 5min of the games? They keep believing till the whistle for FT blows.

Well said. We've got a very versatile and talented frontline. I think next season Poch should stick with the frontline that has shown the most chemistry and can interchange positions in-game seamlessly. Nkunku x Jackson can both switch between the LW and CF positions, and have shown synergy. Jackson has also shown to partner well with Noni, going by this our front 3 should be Nkunku x Jackson x Noni with Cole as the no 10 which I feel is the best position to leverage on his IQ, creativity, vision, link up play, ball distribution and being able to contribute to building up offensive transitions and controlling the game from the midfield. Personally see Cole Palmer as a hybrid of the likes of Juan Mata/David Silva x Mesut Ozil. Playing as a 10 lets him leverage on all his best abilities, then we let the forwards thrive on his creativity. He can always switch into forward positions when he finds an opening and be on the receiving end of chances, like we saw him receive the pass from Caicedo. Mudryk is the odd one out since he's behind all these guys in terms of technical ability, and chemistry with players. Of course Poch would switch out Nkunku for him in some fixtures so Nkunku can stay fit as long as possible and Mudryk can also improve on hiss shortcomings Now imagine how productive these lads would be with the likes of Enzo x James in their best forms and are available throughout the season.

Well we played all of the same teams again, august-December we play everyone and the January to May we play them all again. We have still had horrible performances this year, tbh it’s only come good these last few games. The fact is taking Enzo out and tweaking cucarella position has made a massive impact.

Pochettino struggled with talent/experience at PSG. Won almost nothing in 14 years of management. For me all of them haven't been good enough. I'll stick by it until we win something major.

@@hnaku8748 Well firstly the directors preferred him to supposedly better coaches on paper like Nagelsmann and Enrique to begin with. This is despite the things you've mentioned about his stint at PSG after a 3 month search, so it's not like they intended to bring an elite coach to begin with. If Pochettino is sacked they would still proceed to find a developer coach rather than the top brass anyways. Then there's the fact that they didn't get him players he requested or get him the right levels of experience and top level quality to balance out the youth in the squad. Something the coach already gave warnings about after we beat Brighton in preseason. So he was set up to fail from the start, and even if we had an elite coach he would complain about these very issues. The injuries haven't helped either, especially given that before the season most of us touted James and Nkunku to be amongst our best players. If Pochettino can bounce back somewhat in these adverse conditions then it should make one consider if maybe there is more to him that meets the eye under better conditions at this club, and there's a decent chance that if the right things are done that he could continue this seemingly upward trajectory. But then those that created those conditions would have to go for that to be more probable. It also doesn't help that the players (full of immature youth) are on his side, so sacking him could cause adverse effects if the right guy is not brought in. Given what these guys have done at board level, you can't trust them with that assignment. It's not a double standard, it's individual assessment of every entity taking all circumstances into account.

If we keep Pochettino and stay near midtable it's nothing but a belated sack. With TT, it'll be a better gauge of the players(since he got us top 4 twice and competitive in knockouts and that's where we're currently aspiring to be), so if we stay near midtable even with him then it's more evident the players aren't good enough. So we can restructure with better directors. That would be plan B. In an optimistic view it doesn't matter who we have as a manager. We've got to be ready for the worst. Fans are flip-flops, takes 3 games to turn we've seen it.

The second szn we were coming first in Dec without our goals coming from wingbacks and as soon as they got injured we went in a free fall and barely hung on to top 4, again TT kept playing 3 atb despite not having wingbacks, players turned on him because he has poor man management skills. Poch is not perfect either but this is his first szn with extremely young unproven team, we need stability and a constant voice in the lockeroom, now with a year under his belt i expect improvements going into the coming szn, he knows the issues to address in thre offseason and barring any injuries we should have a strong start to the szn because of continuity

@@t-one8657 This is not Pochettino's first season. It is his 14th. He's one year older than TT. In that time all Pochettino has won is a French Cup and an underwhelming league title with PSG(where he not only lost the dressing room, but also fell out with the director, and lost the fans too). He had the worst winning % at PSG last 11 years(that with Messi), worse than likes of Galtier and Laurent Blanc. TT's record there is much better. If we just want continuity, we could just have kept Potter. And believe me I wasn't truly against that. He had much worse conditions and would have been more understandable(though would have been sackable too if we did this season the same as now). Managers have to be accountable, long term semi-mediocrity is not what we want. Pep and Klopp had actually won things. If Pochettino wins something major for us, I'll happily turn. But not now.

Mah, sometimes you speak like a man without common sense. You cannot put a system in place that the players themselves cannot play. There is no sense saying it should've been used earlier if the players haven't gotten it. The reality is that some games you need more than tactics to win. The truth is that some games require multiple tactical plans AND bench quality. Just ask Man City about that game yesterday. You try to make everything so simple and it comes across as you being super reductionist and naive at best - simple and daft at worst.
