I hope you're not trying to break a new motor in on synthetic. That alone will prevent the rings from sealing. Grab a jug of Rotella 15w40 or Castrol 20w50 from walmart non synthetic if the new turbo doesn't fix the problem, swap out the oil and run it hard.

Okay. I was trying to seal em with 5w30 but I’ve got some 15w40 rotella in it now. Gonna try some more heat cycles with it and a bigger drain on the turbo.

What size is the turbo drain? It might be worth doing all 10AN to prevent oil burning in the future. I had to even drill out my 10AN fittings to get them above 1/2" ID.

@@jackstandbuilds Go for 12AN if you can fit it. pricing should be similar to the 10an stuff and it'll make sure drainage will never be a problem. Also, make sure to use a gasket on the drain flange and not RTV as it can get squeezed in and block oil flow.

Yessir I do use gaskets on it, I’ll look into it cause I’m gonna have to swap out the drain line as well.

Idk if I commented this in the last video but i had a 5.3 that smoked just like that. It ended up being the pcv valve on the drivers side valve cover. Replaced it with a brand new valve cover and the smoking stopped. Hope you get it lined out good. Sounds awesome

mine was doing the same smoking issue out of no where and it was the pcv system ,you need a catch catch fursure ,passanger side route it to a catch can then the exit off that catch can put a check valve towards the intake,passanger side vent it to air or put a inlet tube infront of the turbo and put a barb fitting on it so the passanger side pcv vents to there

Hey man. I'm pretty late on this, but did you check the coolant crossover pipe or the ports up top for the leak? I thought my pump was leaking but it was that crossover hose that was loose.

Seems like the weep hole is leaking on the water pump. First sign your pump is going bad!

Rotella is the way to go! I have always broke my engines in with shell rotella. And continued using and never had any problems.

Take the turbo off and run it see if it still smokes that will tell u if its a turbo or the engine just stick the turbo feed line in the oil fill hole
