I've had two of this style hoses. I drain and stored the hoses in a flower pot with no problems. I forgot to drain and store the first host and left it out overnight. Next day there were pin holes and leaks. The second had the exact same problem. We have animals, opossums, around at night and I think they bite the hose. So draining and storing in a container is a must. Also not forgetting to drain and store is a double must. Especially for a 76 year old.

We ( me and my husband) watched your top brass 2 pocket hose review and loved it!.... They should pay you because, you answered more questions in that one video, better than the company can answer any question!!!!! Except the company could probably tell us a price quicker.... LOL.... Thanks for taking the time to do that! Brenda & Richard

I purchased a Pocket Hose 2 with brass a year ago and it has worked perfectly. It neatly solved the issue of the kinking hose and stores in a compact space. The only drawback is that when using it at full pressure it takes a minute or two to drain after the water is shut off. Be sure to store the hose out of the sun, water shut off, and pull it out to the desired length before turning on the water.

Good review, thanks. I have the older version, green with plastic fittings. I have had the green hose for about 3 years now, but not in constant use as I had it in my RV and this seemed to be the perfect hose for RV use. It is now hanging on a hose storage anger on the fence next to my drive way and is an excellent hose for washing down my RV It has been exposed to the element for about a year now. It is so much easier to handle when washing the RV or the cars. It developed a small pin hole about 4 feet from the working end and if I don't hold my free hand over it it gets my pants all wet. The pin hole, however, happened sometime before moving it outside and hanging it on the fence. It spent about 2 years in RV storage compartment and had only been used a few times When I first moved it outside the pin hole leak appeared? The fittings have never leaked to this point. It shrinks down to nothing and expands to full length and dragging around an up on the roof of my RV makes this the best choice over a standard hose. I am looking at the black brass but see there is still a pin hole problem with some users. Thanks again for the great review in helping myself and others decide if upgrading is really necessary.

Sooo...how has the 'improved' Pocket Hose done this summer? I had a bright green one blow up and went for the DAP Xhose (more $) and after 5 uses (unfortunately >90 days), the fitting at the nozzle end leaks unbelievably. The "improvements" seem to address both of my previous issues. Am hopeful you found the "improvements" were indeed that. Looking forward to your feedback. THANKS!!!

If it sounds too good to be true...yep, I bought one of these too and was using it to wash my car. After about 3 uses, the hose split and I had to throw it away. A real p!sser when you're halfway through washing the car and still need to rinse it. Too bad really because the light weight, easy to store aspect of this hose was a dream come true. Maybe one day they'll come out with a new and improved version but I'm reluctant to try it again.

Got 2 of the 50' hoses. No valve just the Turbo twist nozzles. Noticed when taking the nozzle or spray handle off the end that the gold rubber or plastic shield turns/spins so it is hard to tighten or unscrew from the hose. Fail.

The brass connectors really don't add much to the weight. I have had this 2 years now and I water everyday. I have to drag it over a stone wall to water many of my plant and the exterior shows a little wear. I don't let it stay under pressure for any length of time. I store it outdoors in a plastic bucket in the shade. So far, so good as far as leaks go. I love the weight of the hose.

@EpicReviewGuys8 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I don't. But as the ends are male and female wouldn't it just be a matter of connecting the male end of one to the female end of the other? I think it is that simple.

I bought one of the first original pocket hoses used it once and then I gave it to my father in law! I think you got it wrong this is more for somebody that lives in a town house or an area where you don't want to leave a hose out! Good video though! it's cool to see products that you'll never buy!

Thanks for the review--will be looking for your follow-up. I like things that last, even if you pay a little more for them. I'm concerned about the black (fabric?) covering and how long it would last. If this thing works like it's supposed to, it would be perfect for the space I have, but I need to be convinced. Also this one says lifetime guarantee, but if it breaks and is a real hassle to get a refund, it's not worth bothering with it.

I've now had 2 of the 75 feet Top Brass fail in 2 weeks. All I am watering are 4 potted plants at my office. Both have developed a pin hole leak in the white tubing and busted through the fabric. I'm so disappointed because the hose is really was exactly what we needed at the office but I will have to return this one and probably won't try a 3rd one. Bed Bath and Beyond exchanged the first one with no problem since I only had it 9 days. This second one lasted 3 days :( hopefully they will give me a refund.

I bought 2 of the top brass hoses with the new fittings, both hoses were 50ft. The first hose blew out the sidewall of the hose after only 4 uses! I got out the 2nd hose and on the 2nd use it blew out the same way. I have sent pocket hose e-mails with no reply. I will never own another one!!

I remember buying a similar hose called the flexi-hose. It was pure garbage. I bought 2 20ft hoses and the first one broke before i even used it. It had a plastic end and it shattered as it hit my driveway. Just useless!

These things only last for a few uses before they either, spring a leak, or as in the case of mine, they explode into two separate pieces. The brass fittings work great but the hoses are complete garbage, which is where yours will end up if you are foolish enough to purchase one.

@soniamalloni28986 жыл бұрын
These hoses are junk! Hardly used it and it leaks. Unfortunately I didn’t read the fine print and you have to use it a number of times within 30 days to make sure it’s not defective, so I guess I’m out the $40.00 spent on it. I’ll never buy anything from this company again. Thanks for your review it was a good one and confirmed about the small opening that hardly allows water to pass through.
