Pocket Inserts + Journal with Me

Hello again,
My inserts arrived early, I ordered them from Jetpens, and they showed up super fast. I was a bit surprised by how the Field Notes reacted to fountain pen ink, is it just me or do you also have the same issue? Anyway, I love the Leuchtturm1917 pocket notebook, but I might prefer the size of the Moleskine just in terms of how it fits within the cover. But that's not a big deal. I love how it feels/looks within my cover. I can't wait to start collecting these notebooks, I really enjoy using the A5 size as my bullet journal. I have two completed Bullet Journals, and I love how they look on my shelf, and I sometimes go back and just flip through it and remember how those years went. I love documenting the year in these notebooks, and now I will enjoy journaling in this smaller size.

Three years later lol But for the field notes maybe you could open the metallic connector and replace the paper with paper you like?? So you can keep the lovely covers but use them with paper you also enjoy!

I've seen them here and there and finally decided to test them out. But they aren't fountain pen friendly, I just assumed they were. :/ But still, they are very pretty covers.

Glad hooking on the pen loop is working out for you :) Such a shame about Field Notes paper making ink feather though :( The paper quality has deterred me from trying it before, even though the covers are so pretty. You could use these inserts for shopping lists maybe? I tend to use ballpoints for that.

I don't really think the field notes journal is used for desk journaling. Its size and type of paper would be more suitable for quick journal entries for when you go outside and find something cool or jotting down neat ideas you thought of, hence the name "field notes"

Yeah, I like having thinner notebooks for note taking. But Field Notes paper doesn't handle fountain pen ink, which makes sense if it is more for quick note taking. Still, I thought it would have been able to handle the fountain ink. :/

field notes notebooks have a wonderful concept and cover designs. The quality of paper though? I dislike it. They are only good for ball-point pens and similar ... Not for me with my fountain pens.

Yeah, these are so beautifully designed. I don't know why I assumed the paper was fountain pen friendly. I've been using my Kaweco ballpoint but I won't be buying these again.

No, I have a pocket, Chic Sparrow. It's a cover that fits the field notes size and the A6 1917, but that's more a pocket size than A6. I know, it's a bit confusing. 😊

The cover is a pocket travelers notebook from Chic Sparrow. I believe the color is discontinued but they might still have the size in other covers.
