Zequenz Pocket/A6- Notebook Review

I am trying a new-to-me notebook company: Zequenz. In this video I chat about some of the features of this notebook and my thoughts and experience with it so far. I do want to note that there are hints of bleed-through with a number of pens (gel pens and fineliners), and I wouldn't consider it fountain pen friendly. I'm also not sure it would be considered a true "lay flat" notebook. That being said, I find that the 4mm grid, white pages, and thickness of the notebook outweigh those features factors for me and I am excited to use it for the next 3 months and see how it wears! The A6- blank (no lines or grid) is 100gsm which works well for my fountain pens. I even use it for small watercolor sketches.

Ellie, did they change the paper somehow? I just watched a video where her pens didn't feather nor bleed through. I'm just wondering because the paper was always a turn off for me.

I’m not sure! The Zequenz in this video is the only one I’ve used, but that would be great if there wasn’t any feathering or bleed-through. 👀

Hi, do you have any leather cover recommendations for this size? I just bought mine and I would like to get a nice leather cover for it.

I hope you enjoy the notebook too! My personal favourite covers to use with this notebook were Sojourner folios. I preferred their softer leathers so that it wrapped around the notebook and almost felt like a part of it. (Enoch, Elan, Gedi, Spec Brown, etc.) The Enoch leather did “stain” the end pages of the notebook with oil transfer - I share that in one of my videos, but it didn’t bother me or affect the use of the notebook at all. My 2020 Oct, Nov, & Dec Bullet Journal Setup videos show 2 Sojourner covers and a Chic Sparrow (which was also a lovely, but more structured cover.)
