hey thanks for making this video, I just had a question- how do you make the radar hands free so it will record the speed but so I don’t need somebody else to hold down the button? Would really appreciate some help🙏

To change modes press and hold the Mode/Recall button and it will cycle through the different modes. When the screen displays “CON” release the Mode/Recall button and it will be in continuous mode. It should then be able to read speeds without having someone else pressing the button. This for the Smart Coach model if you have the Ball Coach model it may be different. Do you think you would get an accurate reading at a game with the radar on the tripod at the fence directly behind the catcher and blue?

Depends how deep the backstop is really. I’ve had good luck with it as long as I have a good look at the pitch and can set the pocket radar up at a good angle to match the pitch coming in

How long does the speed display on the radar? Would you have time to walk around and check manually?

Yes you would be able to manually check. It also stores the history of readings both on the app and on the radar gun.

Can the radar be setup behind the hitter? I don’t have a screen

Yes just be sure to have it at a lower height to match the plane of the ball flight

How well did your battery pack work with the radar? Which battery pack did you buy?

You can buy pretty much any portable battery pack they will all do the trick and work great I personally have an Anker portable power bank and it will run the Pocket Radar for months without having to be charged

How far can the device be away from the smart phone/tablet and still remain connected?

It really depends on the conditions. In an indoor setting or perfect weather it is about 60-65 feet that it’ll stay connected. I have found however though that the wind greatly effects the connectivity of the radar to the device. In a very windy setting I’ve had times where it’ll only stay connected from like 30 feet.
