Arian Croft I have a question... I have printed one of the sets from thingiverse (pocket tactics core set 3 fourth edition) but it looks like there aren’t enough tiles to play this games and there are also not enough characters in it

It would be nice to have similar video presentations for other editions. I just printed 1st core set of 4th edition. I didn't have any occasion to test play it yet, but from what i've seen in instructions, the map generation was changed. Tiles can be placed in whatever configuration, so there is no rule that would prevent some absurd setups like for example 1 long chain of hexes. There would be no way to "legally" place the features. On the first glance the old rule of placing one feature at the start, second feature when all tiles are set and the third at the end in the middle seems better.

Could i ask you a quick question that wasn't totally clear to me. If i attach with 3 dice, and my opponent defends with 2, is the battle always won by the attacker? The third dice would always go 'unmatched', no? An example Attack throws 5,2,1 Defense throws 6,4 If i understand correctly that would mean the 5 is defended by the 6. The 2 defended by the 4, but the 1 goes trough unmatched, so the defender is defeated.

Good question. No, the 6 would actually beat all 3. The OFF has to have a higher value that the DEF can’t match to win. You only take a DEF die out of the equation if it exactly ties an OFF result.

@@illgottengames3795 so only the highest die counts and on a tie you look at the second pair of dice. Only if those are a tie too, the third die goes unmatched and wins automatically. Is that right? That wasn't how i understood the rules, and it broke the game for me. We'll give it another go tonight then. Edit, so A 6,1,1 D 5,5 attack wins A 5,5,5 D6,1 defender wins

so I have a question, the instructions for the 4th edition core set one say stuff about if you control a feature, but the instructions dont say how to control a feature or how to lose control of a feature?

Thanks for the files! is there anywhere else on how to play this game? i already printed one of the newest set but i cant figure out some of the rules like water tiles and rolling a 5. can you have a player on your home base tile without it going back to the sideline. various things thanks any help would be appreciated.

Oh, you can get those here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:54865 However, thjese only work with the old editions of Pocket-Tactics, not the new stuff. The new stuff is wider and flatter, and doesn't require trays.
