hi, i've been watching reviews from various sources about huawei watch gt3 and none of them mentioned about the notification in detail such as receiving voip call notifications from messaging apps like viber, line, whatsapp etc. i've seen huawei forum discussing about previous generation huawei watches (not harmony os powered) not displaying voip call notifications. Does the gt3 series behave the same way?

Is there a way to run the iPhone camera application on the Huawei gt3 pro watch, and does this watch support making and answering calls with the iPhone or not, and does this watch also support the Always On Display feature?

I am using it with an iPhone 13, I can take calls directly on the phone. There is a AOD feature, which you can turn on or off, I left mine off, so that I stretch the battery. Current HarmonyOS version doesn't support iPhone camera application, as well as loading any other 3rd party apps unto the watch. Hope they update the OS with more features later.

@@bogieman8 I just want the connection to be stable between my phone and watch. And I want the faces to download fairly quickly. 3rd party apps would be nice to download though it’s ok. Also how is updating the watches firmware?

@@awake3951 Connection is good, if the phone is out of radius from the watch, it reconnects automatically. I usually go for a walk without my phone and it tracks and updates once connection reestablishes. Their in-app watch face has many options, some really nice ones too. Firmware gets updated quite regularly, quick and effortlessly.

No not really. As long as you’re using Android. We’ve tested with Oppo, OnePlus and Samsung. You will need to download the Huawei Health app directly from Huawei to get the most up to date features, but that’s not too difficult. The watch gives you a QR code to scan which takes you to the download page.

Do not buy the GT3 42mm version. It is not made for sports. I noticed that the watch using GPS in running, bike or walk uses an average of aproxametly 17 to 20% of the battery. And this is with all extra things off. So since I was not able to do any activity over 5h to 6h, I decided to send it to warranty. The report said an anomaly was detected, and they replaced the board. When I got it back I went on 59 minute walk, the baterry went from 82 to 65%!! It has been sent a total of 3, and their final reply is that it is the normal consumption for the watch and I quote "This topic has been escalated to Huawei's R&D (Research and Development) department for a more detailed check, which may improve the equipment's performance in similar situations." That is not at all normal. If they have the option of hiking, trail that are activities that go way on more than 5 or 6h. What happens? Easy you run out of baterry before your exercise is done. In no manner can this even be considered a sportswatch nevermind for hiking, trail or biking or any type of extreme activity. And the brand will not assume that is has made a watch incapable of long hours with GPS and barometer on. I have been totally ripped off buy the brand! And the brand says it's a nromal value fo consumption. If it is normal at least put in in the specifications "not adequate for any type of training over 6 hours with GPS usage" Have to go back to my cheap but durable battery on my amazfit.

@@Sh.aqrabawi1 GPS both are accurate. Regarding heart frequency can't say. I feel that amazfit, and most of my friends use amazfit, for the price their watches are very good. Huaewi you get a little extra stuff, calendar for period, training plan, stress monitors, etc. Not exactly stuff you need or want for your daily exercises. I have all that stuff turned off. It's more a smartwatch than a sportswatch in my opinion
