This is so fascinating! I love the detail you go into about the grotesque sculptures and carvings 👀. It makes me want to visit All Saints Church and see them in person! The history of this place is incredible - did you know it might have been a Minster Church? 😲 Thanks for sharing

This is so beautiful, I really love that you give us time to study the details of the stones. 😊 Your channel popped up on my suggested video's and I'm so happy it did! I subscribed.

Oh thanks for this tour. I love Pocklington church too. The medieval church that I knew well as a child (All Saints, Owston some way further south) started my fascination with churches.

I'll look up the church at Owston! Thanks, Bethena!

Nice, concise video, Rob. Really enjoyed it. Loved the detailing on the pillars, you used to sit under as a youngster. Also liked the look of (from a distance) the pulpit carvings. Thanks for sharing 👍

Thanks! There is a bit written about the pulpit carvings in one of the histories of the church. I just didn't focus in on it this time as I wanted to look at other bits. But it is a great piece of furniture

That looks a lovely church - the carvings are brilliant. Perhaps it should be rededicated to Saint Tardis whose churches always look bigger inside than out! Great video.😃

I've just found your fascinating channel and subscribed. Have you visited Beverley Minster yet? I had the privilege of knowing the late Alan Spedding, organist and director of music there. Should you stray outside Yorkshire, St. Peter and Paul's church Lavenham in Suffolk is glorious. They

Thanks! I venture outside Yorkshire fairly often but I work full time in Yorkshire so opportunities to get further afield aren't a regular occurrence. I know Beverley Minster and have been many times. A superb building and I know that area very well as I grew up nearby. Lavenham is an excellent church. I've got a video from Scotland coming soon (see previous videos for other counties). Thanks for the support!

@@churchcrawling great, hopefully you'll get the time. I love this church but live 150 miles away so its a few years since my last visit.
