But it wasn’t until the introduction of the iPhone that it became mainstream and manufacturers such as OnePlus started implementing face unlock features on their phones. They must have saved quite a bit on the marketing aspect given that the pricing and the performance did all the talking up front. To add to it, the flash sales will ensure that every unit is sold out. I don't agree with them using flash sales though. A big brand like Xiaomi should be resorting to it. This is not the first phone they are launching at this price point, so their market analytics team would know how many units would be sold out in the first month. Nevertheless they would know better

Vinod singh It's not as fast but is pretty secure. Also it's considerably fast now. Also if iPhone's 3D recognition can be fooled then what do you think about the mere 2D scanning of the poco. I like the phone but just asking. I think it's a great phone for the price.

The OnePlus 6 speed in this video it's affected by a bug: You need to change the background for lockscreen and desktop separately to remove the animation that makes it feel slower (I don't know why but I had the same issue...)

Not sure why but I also tried to clear it by killing apps and restarting. Updated everything to the latest but this was still the case and hence proceeded with what we got. Will try your method and see. Thanks for the heads up

While Poco definitely comes as a strong competitor to OP6 performance wise, the price differential of 14k is what makes it something to really go for. I mean, I would rather pay 14k less and get almost the same performance from Poco, though I do believe OP6 would beat Poco slightly when it comes to overall performance. Also, long term performance of One Plus devices has been seen to be quite strong, like even after >2 years of usage, they work still decent (as is the case with my OP2), I'm not sure if I can say the same about Xiaomi devices. But looking at the specs, price and reviews, it looks like quite a hot purchase if you're able to get this.

It doesn't have an IR blaster. It has an IR illuminator. The IR illuminator doesn't send information. It only lights up an object or subject. In this case, the subject being your face. An IR blaster being a part that sends information to control your electronic devices while this IR illuminator lights your face up especially in dark situations for easier unlock
