I think Poco f5 pro has a downclocked 8 + gen 1 proccesor, especially you notice it on gpu (adreno 730) department.

Bro, I have the f5 pro . I don't understand why the processor runs at 3.00 ghz when should it be to 3.20 ghz... I think as you say this version is underclocked, But I don't understand why I suppose that to avoid overheating issues. Or is it that we have been lied to and the f5 pro has the normal snapdragon 8 gen 1? 😂😢

If you think about it, it doesn't make sense that the f5 pro brings the snapdragon 8 plus gen 1. Which is supposed to be an adapted processor to avoid overheating issues, but at no time do they tell you Which will lower the frequency from 3.20 ghz to 3.0 ghz ... They are also a super processor and if you want to squeeze all the juice out of it, root your phone. And increase the frequency of the clocks. I did that recently with my poco x4 GT (mediatek dimension 8100) And I managed 60+ fps in genshin impact with 99% stability and an average temperature of 38 degrees after an hour and a half of play.

@@alejogi9016 some processor are defective and can't pass the stability test or sth at normal frequency, so snapdragon lower the frequency and sell as a cheaper one

I have my 2 year old samsung a52 5g vs my wife's poco x3 pro In terms of benchmarks poco is way more better phone. But when it comes to speed test... my samsung runs way smoother and faster.

Hi! There are many variables to be honest like installed apps, how full is the storage, settings and so on. At the same time, software "optimization" means a lot too but I would never pick myself A52 over X3 Pro😅 If you setup POCO in the right way - it will be much faster than A52.

@GetTheGadget hahaha... i would love to buy the f5 pro of poco but my mind was startled when i tried speed test on my a52 5g and my wifes x3 pro... take note that my a52 has only 340k point on antutu and my wifes x3 has 500k score. Anyway i hope to find the best phone for me.

Hi! It's a very interesting point actually and I don't have a clear answer... But there might be 2 reasons which I can think of: 1st - Marketing, keep this budget phone little lover im a segment and do not let customer directly compare it to other Xiaomi phones with the same SoC but more expensive. So, overall pay mare to get more. 2nd - Not all dies are equal or not all snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 are equal. So, some lower quality or chips with higher defects or else less lucky one by a random reason sold cheaper as they can't reach the highest 3.2Ghz speed. I remember intel used to check freshly baked chips and pick best ones which can reach higher speed, name them differently and sell them more expensive😅

Bro on cpu throttle.. the poco does double the stats on same cpu than 12T pro .. ita nornal to throttle more than underclocked cpu of 12T pro.... Heating is way slower on underclocked cpu...
