I'm still using an S7 edge from 2016, and the emulation performance isn't bad, i've tried to emulate some demanding dreamcast game and it's really good performance wise. I'll probably use the S7 for a couple more years, it's still hold up.

I think not, my Redmi Note 8 Pro has the ui running at 30hz but there is no delay in opening apps especially the camera. On the other hand if you don't have the phone then don't comment. Lg v40 is a good phone with a snapdragon 840 if your willing to buy used, I currently own one had it for a year, got mine from swappa for 215$ at the time I think their like 115$ at the lowest used but they were normally 2018 flagships but depreciated cus not many people buy lg as much, honestly it's been a really good phone minus some software issues, the s9 is good aswell, and new the samsung galaxy a9 are pretty cheap also

I have seen the Xiaomi Mi A3 sold for less than this new recently, which has slightly better specs even though older - it has a bit lower resolution screen, but it is AMOLED and more than good enough for emulation and gaming.

@@ffel91 No, it's not. They are close, but the 665 is just clocked better. In many benchmarks they are basically equal, but for the benchmarks where one does beat the other the 665 comes out on top most of the time.

Try the Nokia 5.3! I got one for €150, it has a snapdragon 665, 4g ram, 4k camera, android one (so a clean look & 2 years of updates), & I can run a few gamecube games on it (Also the oppo a5 has the same snapdragon as nokia & is only €100)

My favourite budget Xioami phones I would buy right now are the Poco X3 NFC for around 220 bucks or the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite ... a 260 € device with that Snapdragon 750 G with 5G capability. But currently there are many phones out of stock.

I was playing just fine with playstore build, I guess I ended downloading new version from website and I don't even remember why, I recommend you try both, I just assigned controls to classic gamepad and it all worked out, you can tweak with graphical settings for performance, so far only wii game I tested was budokai tenkaichi 3, and GameCube i ran one naruto fighting game

There is a another gamecube emulator called dolphin ishiiruka, you can set resolution to 1x, 2x, 3x and so on and on to 4K

@@littlerune3808 my apologies, there arent good controller that could connect with wired, unless you use non-dual shock and joystick without analog through USB OTG, only way is bluetooth controller, i recommend gamesir t4, or gamesir t4 pro, for both pubg and call of duty mobile both supported bluetooth gamesir t4 and gamesir t4 pro controller

ETA, it's really strange, I have a OnePlus 7 with SD 855, but I can't run midnight club 3 at 3x at full speed, it runs at 30 fps and is completely unstable. That happens with Vulkan and OpenGL.

The external design looks great honestly! flat face, side power with fingerprint, headphone jack, ticks all the major boxes that the fLaGsHiP pReMiUm devices miss out with their usual nonsense of trying to follow apple and samsung. DP out over the USB-C port would be the only meaningful upgrade they could do apart from a slightly smaller screen for portability.

i have a similar spec phone, its done me fine for 2 years plus, it was 110 pound off AliExpress, this should be okay, i personally wouldn't game on a phone though, i like some real controls, the switch does me for mobile gaming, and a ps4/5 or a pc will do for anything else, maybe a raspberry pi for retro gaming.
