It says no data loss, but then you said we have to unlock the bootloader, which does makes you loose all the data, apps .. Which means you do loose all your data if you want to properly root your phone. But i really appreciate your very detailed explanation sir! =)

Now it says about the Magisk app that version installed is 23.0, and 'could' be updated to 24.3 ; but Magisk itself says "Ramdisk : yes, A/B : no, SAR : yes, BUT installed : NOT AVAILABLE... ". As there were many changes with 24.xx, I'm afraid to only 'update the app' and I doubt it will install correctly 24.3 Magisk version... Any input would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks Munchy ;)

Hey Munchy, facing a weird issue, followed the same steps you did, device has unlocked bootloader, removed pattern, face and fingerprint, miui account, Google account, pretty much every account on the phone, made sure usb debugging was on, and after I did fastboot boot recovery.img, TWRP came up and asked for password to decrypt. I tapped cancel and inside install, no files were visible. Device was poco M2 pro and I used TWRP specific to that model. Please help 🙏

i have unlocked my bootloader and installed orange fox recovery can i flash magisk direct in orange fox recovery

didn't work for me sadly - when i tried flashing i got the error message that my phone is locked. I now try to unlock it with the mi unlock ... but that thing seems to hang up too. Constantly checking for "security issues"... whatever that means ...
