POCAST IDEA: the opposite cast. ok here we go. everything like a normal podcast except opposite. for example, jenna and julien switch seats. jenna does the sponsors (and fire segways may i add). jenna and julien could also act like each other, like jenna mimics juliens heavy breathing throughout the podcast. may i also present to you: julien wears the minion blanket. they also should call each other the opposite names. no breaking character i tell you! also maybe have #ad in the room with you? (just an idea.) it could be boring but i also think you guys could make it funny as hell. maybe playing a game as each other would be dope. i really hope j&j see this and consider!note: i came up with this idea while watching the dad podcast. after i finished watching, i went down to the comments (like i normally do) and saw someone had a similar idea. i thought i thought of this first, but someone else in the comments beat me to it. i do not wanna take full credit because i know other people had this idea. i'm just trying to get this to j&j and elaborate on our amazing idea. great minds think alike, amirite?

I was having a conversation with my therapist recently where I told her that I watched your videos as a distraction, and she asked me what I was distracting myself from, and I genuinely didn’t know. I told her that I did not know, and she helped me come to the conclusion that I put so much pressure on myself to be a good person, and look and act a certain way that I had self-districting tenancies in which I feel that I am not good enough for anyone, and your videos make me feel like I mattered to someone, and that’s why I use them as a distraction, I distract myself from my fear of rejection because you(Jenna and Julien) can’t reject me because we don’t know each other, but it feels as if we are having a conversation together that I am part of.. So that was a fun day for me.

This podcast was so eye opening to me. The whole realization that I am not moving forward because I am always trying to compare myself to others is something I've known but didn't want to admit. This podcast made me realize that growth will never be the same as someone else's growth. It's amazing hearing you two speak so genuinely about things because it's something this world often times lacks. Thanks for the rawness and honesty, and for pushing me to realize that I need to be myself and be proud of what I accomplish and not focus on how further or behind I am in my growth than others.

@evepolanski7114
@evepolanski7114 6 жыл бұрын
yeah, I think it's amazing what these two (Jenna and Julien) have managed to accomplish by exposing themselves so much out here. they've brought together a family of like-minded people (dinks) who, if everyone else is in the same boat as I am, probably can't really find this in most of the people actually surrounding them.
@moistsquish
@moistsquish 6 жыл бұрын
Carol Rivera personally I don't see why anyone would ever compare themselves to other because everyone has some sort of problem that they have to face or internal struggle that you are probably glad you don't have . just because they have something at face value that you wish you had doesn't mean that they don't have some equally problematic issue to face that you don't see , never just look at things face value. I'm not saying I'm above other , never having compared myself to others but I've lived through that and over came it and am just sharing what I've learned from that experience.
@regisatlas
@regisatlas 6 жыл бұрын
yes! everyone is on a different journey, it's just not realistic to compare yourself to someone else because you're unique and there's no one like you and your journey and experiences are unique to you. I feel like even comparing yourself to your past self isn't realistic because your life circumstances vary a lot. that said I also compare myself to others constantly and I'm really really hard on myself and it's a suffering ughhh /nervous cement breathing but yeah we should really be aware of these thoughts in order to stop them and just take a minute and breathe

I just find Jenna's voice to be very relaxing and this entire summer I have spent falling asleep to Jenna's videos and just letting autoplay take it from there. And I just really enjoy how happy Jenna has been in videos for like the last year??? Idk it just makes me happy and feel safe :) I have anxiety and ADHD so sometimes it's really hard for me to fall asleep because it's a cycle of hell thoughts and watching stuff usually helps. And Jenna's videos have been doing the trick for a long while now :)))

I do think you're contributing to the culture of distraction; I watch your videos and listen to the podcast as a little escape... but the difference is that your content is intelligent, engaging, thought-provoking, and all around *good*. Even your main channel videos may seem weird and frivolous, but they're so good natured and nice and funny that it's some of the best media you can be absorbing now. It's our choice to distract ourselves, and maybe that's a problem, but thank you for providing us with quality content to distract ourselves with.

I'm curious what hz frequency the Vatican vibrates at because I've been there and you can feel it. Like I know this sounds weird but the passion and the violence and the death coming off those pillars is crazy. thenormalstate that's so interesting you say that, I recently went to the Vatican and there's an energy that's hard to place but your comment made me think of it. With all of the wealth they have, the gold ceilings, the beautiful sculptures, all I felt in there was greed. It's supposed to be a sacred place but with all of that wealth they could be doing so much for the world and that's what they preach but they do nothing. There is something about the Vatican that feels rushed and un organic.

It's also kind of sick to think that people who haven't even graduated school or worked for a long time gets burned out. I'm glad you adressed this today. Never doubt that you are doing something beneficial. When I first realized you guys had a podcast, I didn't really know what a podcast was. Now after about a year, I'm watching ancient aliens and listening to conspiracy theory podcast. You guys are a very healthy influence on what I like today. Not because I'm trying to replicate you (which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing because you both are amazing people), but because you guys help people discover their interest. I know you probably won't notice this comment because I'm late on commenting on this video, but I guarantee you that for a majority of people listening to this podcast every Monday is our relax cast (even if it's not literally a relax cast). KZbin is definitely a platform that can bring forth some stress, between drama and other factors. But your channels along with others are places where we can listen to educational content, humorous content and forget about all the stress of the world. And the times where you do address conflict, not only does it inform about what's going on. It also provides me with two intelligent people who I can trust when it comes to judgement, to lay it out for me. So I thank you so much.

Hey guys! Jenna- have you heard about empaths and highly sensitive people? I've been learning about it lately and realizing I am one myself. Being a long time fan of you guys I feel like Jenna is an empath, and probably an animal empath specifically. (Meaning you feel a spiritual connection with animals and they in turn relax your mind and body). You should fall down a google rabbit hole with this stuff it's really fascinating 😊 Dr. Judith Orloff has a good book out called the Empath's Survival Guide, I'm listening to the audiobook currently, I highly recommend it! Lots of love y'all, awesome podcast! ❤️

Contrary to FUCK THE SYSTEMs comment, there are multiple types of empaths. I am an emotional empath, and energy worker. There are physical empaths as well, and even social empaths who feel the coming of events or are greatly effected by the group they associate with. All people have a mild form of empathy. Otherwise we would not have the ability to read body language or social clues. If you are having trouble knowing if your emotions are real or not, you may very well be a social or emotional empath, and especially if you are having these feelings around animals. Good Luck on your journey. Merry Meet and Blessed Be

no, but they wouldn't become transparent, the space covered by the green morph suits would just take on whatever background they selected. they could make giant green blankets and make head and arm holes and just cover everything else up, including the chairs

For what it's worth, I've been listening to your podcasts to help me stay focused while I work on art. It doesn't really matter what the topic is, but having something to listen to distracts me from thinking about how long I've been working or if I need a break or if I'm hungry, checking Facebook etc. The time kinda goes by unnoticed and next thing I know I'm finished with the task I've set out to do, and I haven't stopped a million times to do other things. As much as you might think you contribute to the culture of distraction, what you put out into the world seems to do much more good than harm, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. (Also, sorry I know I'm a bit late to the comment party but as I said, I'm going through all the podcasts one by one. lol )

You and your spirituality rock! It totally soaks up all of my interest too. You might find this interesting to know that when talking about spiritual stuff and saying in-depth spiritual information can make your electronics not work properly. Like when your memory card corrupted when you were talking about sacred sounds and pyramids. And it can happen when the consciousness of of people aren't ready to "accept" that information yet. So "something" electronically/energetically messed with the card to not record the information because people may not be ready to "recieve" that information yet. Energies are all frequencies can easily influence electronics and lights and stuff. It happens to my mother all of the time when she talks about this stuff for her work and has to record the session for clients. It's super cool how everything is connected!

Thank you guys for opening my mind. This summer has been so busy for me since I have just moved from Washington State to Florida. I've been so nervous and scared to start my new school. Instead of asking myself "why am I scared," I just focused on something else to do like unpacking or stuff. This podcast has really opened my eyes to see that having time to yourself to think is not a bad thing. I am definitely going to start having around 10 minutes before I go to bed to just think. Thank you very much.

It's been wonderful seeing her grow as an adult and a person and becoming more interested and vocal about those topics. Especially being a long time subscriber I've aged as well and the content is even more relevant and moving to as someone in their late 20's.

I appreciated this conversation so much. I work in the service industry where there are few opportunities to have conversation that lasts more than mere minutes and then it's onto the next person and so on....I imagine many of your events/experiences may feel thew same. It was so refreshing to listen and watch this organic conversation about reeeeal life and how we all need/crave the same human experience. I think the SD card malfunction was a just the universe playing a joke on you as a real-time lesson to relax no matter what random ass situation is thrown at you. Nailed it. I adore you guys. Hope you get that vacation soon. Thank you for being so authentic.

This is hands down one of my favorite podcasts you guys have done. Even with the SD card fail, you guys really pulled it together in a beautiful way. The idea of perpetuating and indulging in media, content, and yes plain distractions really resonated with me. In the case of this podcast, as well as many others, this is a platform where you get to speak on things that I feel have such a beneficial impact on your audience. This was an amazing thing to listen to this morning, and it really started me off on a positive foot for the day. Thank you Jenna, Thank you Julien

I can completely relate to what Julien was saying about waking up thinking you are still dreaming, not being able to shake it either. This "relax-cast" hit home for me. This podcast is helping me connect so many dots in my life. When I was in hs I had a crazy schedule between sports and advanced classes and clubs, and during that time I would have scary and crazy dreams almost every single night. I always just thought it was nothing. But, since I have graduated and gone to college my schedule is a lot less intense and I don't have as many of those dreams anymore. Stress and anxiety played such a big part in my life, and I never end realized it was also fucking with my dreams. Thank you, Jenna and julien.

Watching my two favorite people talk about one of my most favorite things made my night💕💕💕 I've been doing guided meditations for years and it's taught me so much about what we aren't aware of during our waking life and helped me in so many way. Everything in the universe is vibrating so in essence everything has its own frequency, every cell, every organ, every thought, emotion etc... there for when we listen to different frequencies our bodies react to them in ways that may or may not make sense but that's part of the healing! Bring awareness to something that you might not have even realized was a thing. I hope you guys learn more and more and apply it to your daily routines! I love you guys so much thank you for always being such genuine people, gives me hope for a future of more people like yall💕💕💕

This podcast was really important to me. It made me realize how much time I actually spend on my phone and on KZbin and stuff. Being a 16 year old in 2017 I some times wish that I was born in a different era because my generation seems to be the most effected and influenced by social media and were constantly on our phones. This really opened my eyes and made me realize how much I actually do compare myself to others and I need to get away from that.
