The colour choice for your Ranunculus looks really nice on you and that is definately my favourite this month. Hi Helen, Lovely to see you again on u tube loved the finished jumper I thought the colour really suited you & loved the colour of pink you are knitting your grandson is starting to come to the beginning of an interesting age super sweet super cute 🙂 Helen, I took your advice & went on u tube to learn how to connect 2 different colours I actually surprised myself I did it 🤗 & it worked a treat Take care Lin 💖

Thats great Lin, I am sure they did a way better job than I could haha. Glad you are doing so well at your knitting, I think youtube answers most of the questions we might struggle with in our knitting. Yes Riley is getting to a super cute stage, and he is super sweet, such a delight.

I also got some Truboo in a sale (at Spotlight) and made the mistake of not washing the test swatch .... well I made a sleeveless top that grew incredibly after the first wash and is now unwearable out of the house! Despite that I do like the shiny look of the yarn and had bought more before I finished the first item so I also have about another 5 balls. I'm thinking maybe if I knit it to a much tighter gauge, say even to 5 ply gauge if possible, or find a stablising stitch pattern (maybe something textural) then it might work - what do you think? I wonder if it would grow as much with a dense crochet stitch. I also thought about a shawl but I think the weight of it would still make it grow a lot. Nice to see a NZ podcast by the way :)

@onemissingpiece6798 thankm6ou for your comment. That is a great suggestion for using the Truboo. I had thought about the tighter gauge, but hadn't thought about a texture, it may well work. When I'm feeling more adventurous, I may well give it a go. I have had a few disasters lately with knitting, which I will talk about in my next podcast, so am feeling a bit defeated at the moment. I need a good experience under my belt to feel more confident haha.
