Those are called DPN. Double pointed needles.

Those are called DPNS (double pointed needles) for knitting. There's a lot of tutorials on how to use DPNS in KZbin. The ones that look like safety pins are stitch holders use in knitting when you're doing cable as an example. Have fun.

Juan the purple thing is for when you make granny squares or any other kind of squares you can store them in the purple thing. I forgot the name of them . The little blue thing is a row counter. You are so lucky to receive Hero hooks. I am on the hunt for them. I only have 1 Hero that was my Momma’s.

Always keep an open mind about the doilley books. Llama Mama uses large hooks and yarn on what is traditionally small scale projects and it is beautiful seeing the patterns in pillow or afghan sizes.

I love Aberdeen Wools yarn. I’m a scrappy sock and sock yarn blanket knitter so I use these minis a lot to make scrappy socks and scrappy blankets. So much fun!

Lol what a great happy mail package- you got all the things! The short double pointed needles are for knitting the fingers of gloves with fine yarns. The longer double sided pins are great for socks and starting cuffs of sweaters when circular knitting. Knitting is so fun, I love color work which I learned to do in Norway in the 80s. Have fun with all your new tools and yarns! ❤

Hi Juan, loved the unboxing of the advent box, how fun! Those purple and other colored safety pin looking things are cable stitch holders. They will hold your knitting stitches while you cable. Very fun to work with. Also, those skinny little double pointed needles can be used for holding cables, also, and/or, I have also used them when knitting beanies, when the stitches are too tight for the circular cable. So essentially, you're using 4 or 5 of them while knitting. It's fun, you'll love it!

Yep, those are stitch holders (the purple, blue and gold thingies) - useful for when you knit sweaters. The little double-pointed needles (“dpns” in knit-speak) are great for hat & socks, just as you guessed. You’ve got some very cool tools!!

Hi Juan, these vintage crochet books are the same ones my aunt gave to me before she passed away. That was 20 years ago wow. My grandmother and aunt were both crocheters, and used the tiny crochet hooks, and thin yarn to crochet doilies, bed spreads etc. What a treasure you have, and it was so nice for you to receive them. Thank you for sharing on your chanel. I love yarn, I taught myself to knit and to crochet. I even learned to use a drop spindle and then a spinning wheel to spin wool from my sheep, angora bunny fur, and angora goats. I love listening to you and watching the yarns you have there. Great packages! Those hanks are so cute! It's funny to hear things from the 70s are vintage cuz that's my era. I have some vintage patterns that I keep in sheet protectors to keep them safe. Thanks for sharing all your things!

Juan, the short needles are for making cables. The large pins are stitch holders. Usually used when working necklines and shoulders. The dons are for socks. You have guessed correctly on everything. You’re an expert and you don’t know it. Both boxes are great.
