The top two are the same for me, I haven't played Stella Blade yet though, so can't comment. Banishers kind of came out of nowhere for some, and I think it released in a strange part of the year - early on, and there wasn't really any advertising for it. I actually need to find time to replay it for the other path and may be 100% it at some point. I would easily be happy for Banishers to win awards - a bit like what AW2 did last year when it was up against BG3. From what I've seen of the games to be released later this year, I am not sure if any of them will be in the top 2. But then again it is always good to be nicely surprised by a game. I think some of them could easily be top 5

HD2 and Stellar Blade are my favourites this year. I'm waiting for DD2 to drop denuvo and I'm planning on playing FF7R before Rebirth

The problem with Banishers is, even though you say it's not poltical, and I'm sure your right, it still looks like one of them games that was made for what Corporates call " The mordern audience ", and I think that's what puts people off buying, people are sick of being lectured to in games.

Very true. Having people from different races in a game shouldn't be a red flag. But with so many poorly written games with diverse casts combined with all the anti-diversity propaganda, Banishers didn't stand a chance. I've played it and it is a fantastic story experience worth playing.

Lost crown is a Metroid-Vania tho not rogue 🤷‍♀️ . Great vid I strongly agree with the list. Infinite wealth is fun I just take all there stories with grain of salt ✌️

My top 3 so far are: 1- Dragons dogma 2 2- Hellblade 2 3- Rise of the ronin This top is my own PERSONAL OPINION and is more influenced on my taste of what type of games I like, definitely we are getting plenty of master pieces and more are coming out soon, so everyone’s GOTY list can change abruptly the closer we are getting of the end of this year!!! This year is so amazing!
