Mark didn’t shame him publicly on the Box Car Racer thing, nor then in the Angels & Airwaves and +44 thing, then they got together and he pulls the same thing, I don’t blame Mark one bit. Tom is cool but he can be a bit overly selfish/self-involved and just plain loony sometimes. He’s an opioid addict though so I can understand, though that doesn’t explain the crazy conspiracies thing, plus he was into shit like that long before opioids lol. I mean, it’s a fun quirk of his personality and he mostly manifests it in a mostly not too malignant way, in fact it’s often in a more kind of interesting way that could be useful to reaching conspiracy loons or at least guiding them to a less toxic way of being lol, so whatever lol, but the pulling this shit on Mark for like a 3rd or 4th time was kinda fucked lol but again, it’s probably because of his opioid addiction since it make you feel a bit disconnected from normal social psychological impulses mostly unwittingly and even kind of unintentionally, but at a certain point it’s time to call him on it and that’s what Mark did so it’s very fair, plus Tom realizes this as you can see here so he knows what he did wasn’t cool and accepts it so that’s good. It took Mark getting cancer to bring them back together, just like it took Travis’s near death plane crash to bring them back together before. I guess it’s Tom’s turn next, he might OD and maybe barely survive next lol.

The good thing about this is that they were able to grow up and have an adult conversation about uncomfortable issues from the past and rebuild their friendship and their band after all was said and done. That shows incredible maturity, especially on the part of Tom, arguably the most immature 😉 member of the band! ❤ Tom is a very kind person who I’ve met on a few different occasions over the years and obviously he just needed to go his own way for a bit so he could circle back around to his brothers after having some time for his own ventures. They all went on and did more "mature" music. It just all comes down to ego and the difficult process of collaboration. Being in a band is hard, especially when you got multiple singers and lyricists. So many ideas from all parties, with each having their own respective personalities, and you all have to agree on what you want a song to be about and how you want that message to be delivered. And instead of adding to eachother and positively collaborating, it becomes compromise and settling so everyone remains content.

Ask WHY did TD break from them. Tom states, in the film I Empire, he wanted to spend time with his family and Mark and Travis didn't understand this. According to Tom, Mark and Travis thought Blink should come first. I am glad they have reconciled. Amazing growth in this band.

Tom’s playful OMG mouth drop response to Mark’s “Eff Tom DeLonge” is priceless. Mark & Tom could patch things up & laugh about it later unlike many big splits of huge rock stars with gargantuan egos like Rager Waters with David Gilmour. While they acted civilly when seeing each other the animosity was palpable. They eventually had some reunion events but not a full blown Pink Floyd reunion which is tragic. The split went on for decades. Now Richard Wright has passed & it would have been amazing if they were able to reunite for some tours so a new generation could experience them several times live. I don’t know how the Stones kept it all together & lived so long while many other la died so young like The Lizard King, Jimi, Kurt, etc

Tom wanted Blink to go in a direction and Mark kicked against it... so Tom went and did Boxcar and AVA. Mark threw a bitch fit like weee weee weee why was I not involved? Grow up. Glad Tom is back coz Skiba was not Blink. However, I would have been happier with Boxcar Racer 2.0. Also, I truly enjoyed +44 and wish Mark had pursued that instead of the pathetic Blink he kept forcing on the world. (He was just chasing money as Blink was a bigger name than +44 unlike Tom who had the confidence to start a new project and let it stand on its own name)

That's not what happened at all though... Tom has talked about this too. He was just very immature about how he handled things at this point in his life. After he left the band a 2nd time (which is what they're talking about here), they were just about to record an album. This was *AFTER* Boxcar, this was *AFTER* AVA, this was Tom just ditching them via manager. They had already done several albums "grown up," and none of that had anything to do with what you're talking about. Sounds like you just made a story up in your head & went with it.

They all had similar but at the same time different goals. They all did that stuff and at the end of all of it came back together because they absolutely mad a giant staple in music and knew no matter what happened that they all can count on eachother regardless of years of being apart and not talking. These guys have been a big inspiration in my life since I could process life going on day by day haha. It makes me happy as young as I am to se these guys come back together and make some badass music.

Tom has a rock edge and creative side that was cool and he was a great song writer but frankly you see mark is the heart of blink and kept them together aswell as managed to almost get the spirit back without Tom . Frankly the previous two albums without Tom were better sounding and I didn’t even like those much, but they had more of their old school energy. It’s cool to see them happy but as a fan of enema and take off your pants as my favorite blink tone, they were closest with Matt

Well this is a very real moment because Mark openly expressed how he felt about all that, in front of Tom, and Tom had to just be like “yup, sorry” and feel awkward. But I feel like it was necessary. I think Tom didn’t want to communicate or didn’t know how to and these kinds of conversations are so crucial if you want to progress your friendship and your collaborative abilities with the band. But I’m happy they worked it out in the end (:
