Great video. Here's a question: Can I create a full website with multiple pages and Blogs on Podia? I want to sell an online video course, but I also want to have a full functioning website. I was thinking of creating the website on Squarespace, and uploading the course on Teachable, but then I started hearing about Podia and now I'm thinking of uploading the course on Podia. But I need to know if my needs require a full website creator like Squarespace or whether I can do everything on Podia. Thanks!

Unless they added that functionality recently, no. They support payment plans for e-courses, which you could treat like a membership, but Podia supports true membership sites with frequently updated content, discount offers, etc.

@@DanaKaye23 here's what I found about membership on teachable : support.teachable.com/hc/en-us/articles/219827507-Recurring-Memberships?source=search You can make a course bundle and set a recurring payment. Concerning the fees, when you take the 79 dollars plan, you don't have any transactions fees just like Podia. Anyway I watched the Podia demo and it looks very very good but I'm still searching the one feature that will make the decision to me :).

It looks like the key differences with Teachable and Podia is that on Podia's platform, it's more of a community than just paying monthly for e-courses (which you should really get access to for a one-time fee.) In Podia, you can integrate with Facebook and Slack, so the community aspect of the membership site is all linked up. Podia also supports comments and interaction on posts, which I'm not sure Teachable does.

I do still use ActiveCampaign for all my email marketing, but I use Podia's email service for on-boarding new members and sending announcements to students. You could potentially put it all in one place, but the email features are fairly limited.

@@tanyagioia829 If it's a video course, you're going to need a place to host those videos, so I'd still recommend Podia. If it's an email course, you may be able to get away with just using your email provider. For video editing, I use Adobe Premiere. If you're a Mac user, iMovie should suffice. Hope that's helpful!

What are your thoughts on Podia vs Google Classroom?

I haven't used Google Classroom, but it's my understanding that Google Classroom is mostly for live teaching. Podia has a webinar integration, but it's mostly used for recorded, online courses.

@@DanaKaye23 Google classroom has great integration with KZbin where we pre-record all of our lessons. We are considering switching to Podia. Can you use Podia's course set-up and have it integrate with another website builder like Squarespace or do you have to use their platform?

@@benohashi9706 You can use Podia's sales and curriculum pages with your unique domain, but I don't believe you can embed the actual course into your Squarespace site. I am working with LearnDash for almost 3 years and I still cannot put any course alive. Most of the functions are not working, the integration with woocommerce neither. LearnDash has not any tutorial (only ads videos) or they are obsolete. Support is so bad, they take weeks to resolve your issues (if they resolve them). LearnDash has not a full solution, you need to build each fuction with different plugin as a puzzle, and most of the time, they do not work. Really I am very tired with them. This is the reason that I am looking for an alternative, but my question is: Can I have the control of my students? I mean, the clients are mine or Podia's clients ? Do I have the right of my courses ? Do they work in my website or they are a platform where I upload my courses? Thanks in advance

That sounds so frustrating! Yes, with Podia you have control over your students. They have the platform to upload the courses, but you can create your own sales pages and use Podia for checkout. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions!

I have another questions: 1) I have videos done with Camtasia because it allow to create quizzes and they are in their platform (screencast), Can I access these videos with Podia and to get their quizzes? I tried to put my videos in Vimeo, but the quizzes are missed, however, they are working well with LearnDash, I mean, I can link them from screencast to my LearnDash's lessons. I do not want to miss this important characteristic, this is the reason I choose Camtasia. (2) Can I use my domain (because all my videos and books reference to my website)? (3) Do they have a system (or function) to sell my license? (4) Do they have an affiliates system to sell my courses? Thanks (and I'm sorry if I have so much questions, but I do not want to do another mistake.
