I wonder if that insert under the grip is for the new Shot Sense they say is coming Fall 2023. Looks like that system requires a special grip and what looks like buttons are in that basic area. Looks like the sensors may go where that insert in the riser is.

Well, we now know what that insert is about. Is this new version any slimmer than the previous model? Any chance they took away the extra angle from the previous?

Idk if in doing something wrong, and I'm coming from the original, to grip tape on the riser, to this.. if feels horrible when trying to get the right hand angle because if the wing. And it's slippery. Even the rubber is slippery. I can only keep it still if I jam my hand up into the top. Which changes my angle and feel.

Spot in the handle could be to add different weights, my Scout LT has a spot in the handle to add weights for different feel

I choose too go wt the total peep tech grip for mathews. It fits my hand perfectly and my V3X 29. Its a good fit.

I've tried several grips and side plates, and the UV2 is my favorite. They fixed all the things I didn't like about the UV1

@@drewolm adding multi-materials to the grip, relief on the index finger to reduce torque and comfort of different grips, better arrow containment / protection, slightly more narrow as the original was really wide

@southgaheadhunter5529 I was honestly underwhelmed when I opened the box. I wasn't expecting it to be a hard plastic material. It almost looked like something someone 3D printed. That being said, once I put it on my bow, I really like it. The angle and flat back is an improvement over the stock Mathews grip imo. It feels good in the hand and shoots nice. I'll give it an 8.5/10

I've owned both. The Total Peep Tech grip is also a great grip, but it does have a higher wrist angle than the UV grips, which has a higher wrist angle than the engage grip. It was too high for me but it's worth trying

MFJJ I’ve put the two piece grip on my Phase 4. I sanded the button smooth off the right scale that gets in the way and used the supplied double sided tape. Haven’t had any problems with it, its on there and not going anywhere. Thanks for the great content!

Magpul should start making bow grips!! Not sure why they haven’t. Their grips are what $20-$30 if that? There are already 1000 plus AR grips out there. At some point it comes down to the shooter LOL

I put the UV 2.0 on my Phase 4 and my TRX 34 and I really like the grip. I shot Redding and the grip was legit in the rain!

If you really want to be consistent a square grip is where its at it you know shooting a bow might not be most comfortable but best repeal

There is a trick to making the grip work cause I wanted to use them and my bow shop cojj I’m lent get them to snap in but with a little modification it will work I had it on my bow till I got my beereal I believe my bow shop just ground the snap in off and 3 mm in place and worked like a charm .

My guess is the mystery spot under the grip is for either a future dampener, grip angle adjustability, or a hand warmer, but either way I'm sure it's another accessory to buy from Mathews, and they'll sell a ton

MFJJ just so you know Mathews redesigned the side plates for ‘23 and doesn’t have the boss that used to go in the whole they took away. Have a set on my phase 4 and work fine.

I put a bee real 2.0 on my VXR, and it’s the best I’ve had. Much better than the 1st version bee real. I’ve never had more consistency with Mathews. That said, I didn’t give 100+ bucks for it either. Bought mine 2nd hand for about half price on Archery Talk. If I hadn’t had that choice, after using it, I’d say it’s a good bit overpriced, but I would pay the piper for the kind of consistency and accuracy I’ve gained with this grip.
